  @DoubleDD I think a year will make a difference. Will it make enough so that we become a title contender? I think we need a big man to go through (Cliff returns…not likely IMO, or one of the big man recruits). Like it or not, that is what Self needs to be successful.

  @BeddieKU23 I’m not sure… that is a question for others in here. Anyone know? @reader22 If they back away from all basketball sponsorship, aren’t they just folding tent in their basketball-related products? I’m lost in the world of shoes, but really appreciate all of you who follow that world and post on it. It has become a fascinating read, even though I’m more interested in Xs and Os instead of $s.

  Well, I was hoping I’d be wrong but it is what it is and Len Elmore pretty much backed it up the whole second half–Wichita State is just a lot more mentally tough than we are. Maybe they just wanted a rematch with Kentucky more than we did.

  @truehawk93 Duke is a touch young, too. But of all the teams I’ve seen this season, I think Duke is the second best behind UK. Balanced, great inside out game. Flexible on defense. I can’t stand Duke, but it’s hard to deny how good they are. Though if KU isn’t in it, I’ll definitely root for Wisconsin.

  Article in FiveThirtyEight on ESPN site showing that this year was fairly light on upsets as compared to most years - many fewer real upsets than the last two tournaments. Baylor and ISU were about it; well, along with SMU getting hosed. Chalk prevailed for the most part. So, let’s hope Rock Chalk does, as well.
