  @approxinfinity That is true. There have also been lots of players who have worked their butts off to prove talent rankings wrong. And I think scouts’ opinions are subjective, not objective!

  Another spin on last Saturdays game with WV. - Sports talk said , and let’s look at it like this guys. If you were to tell me before the game Saturday that Ku would only make 3 - - - 3 point shots , and get out rebounded by 14 & right at the same amount of turnovers as West Virginia and we would win - -Like they said give me some of what your drinking , cause would think their would be no way. BUT they was talking about this KU defense, Talking about you give up 53 points and Bill Self had to love it - we all know how you have to be able to play defense for Bill or you don’t play - -or at least a lot. Marcus has become a lock down defender, this defense is going to carry us along ways. - - -Like they said offensively maybe not a jaugernot - -but on the defensive end. - -Just think if this team ever puts together a complete 40 minute game - - LOOK OUT. - - If we can just cut down on the TO’S some and get back to shooting the 3 some better - - LOOK OUT this defense is Legit

  @Crimsonorblue22 if he wasn’t playing how Bill wanted there would be issues. Bill seems happy with him. I’ve said the same about wanting Garrett handling the ball in crunch time though. Exception would be if Dot has been putting the guy guarding him in the torture chamber all game.

I have a couple of friends that went to school there and I just like that it’s essentially a giant HS gym with an old school feel. Most of the other gyms on my personal list are also in the old school arena vibe. Assembly Hall and the Pit just have really great atmospheres, acoustics inside the arenas, and cool architecture so that’s why I have them there.

  @drgnslayr They actually did this in the 2nd half of the Villanova game. Put Dotson on the left side gave him the pass and ran a high ball screen action so he could create, drive or kick. I think this is something film should point out was pretty successful. I think you have to find ways to limit the grind on him whether its letting someone else bring the ball up and giving him different looks like the nova game, off the ball. There is no reason this team and coaching can’t gameplan to have its leading scorer in situations to make a play. Garrett has proven invaluable as a secondary handler and assist man. He is the most improved player on the roster. It looks useful to alternate them on and off the ball
