  Think the NCAA will blame the slow response to Self’s recent beat down on a slow postal carrier?..figured we would hear something today. Maybe not a decision but an acknowledgement or a warning shot across the bow…something!

  @drgnslayr Oh, I think this Diallo eligibility issue could easily turn into a court case. In hiring outside evaluators, investing nearly $100K in pursuing the eligibility, deciding to push forward a somewhat defiant public agenda, KU might be distancing itself from inclusion of legal proceedings against its “partnership” organization by representatives of Cheick and his guardian. Lots of recent saber shaking by attorney Don Jackson, Bill Self and his athletic director. Surprises me that as of noon today (Monday) the ruling body has not yet responded to one of its topflight coaches and satellite powerhouses. Unless ESPN gets smothered by Big Shoe, announcers most likely will help our cause tonight and/or thereafter. Not an issue to die a quiet death if allowed to continue unresolved.

  @wrwlumpy In all fairness that is true in all sports and businesses. Sponsors pay a lot of money to have their name prominent displayed and having someone else’s product displayed does not sit well and probably involves legal liability if the organization being paid by the sponsor does not vigorously enforce the exclusive rights of the company that disbursed the sponsorship money. Remember when Jim McMahon was fined $5,000 by the NFL for wearing a headband with the Adidas logo? He was not the first and certainly not the last one.

  @KUSTEVE To some degree last year he did flip to “earn your time” except there were inconsistencies. Wayne had a bad year, and through most of it he struggled and that really hurt us… yet he started and got lots of PT.

  Barring any unforeseen collapse KU should win this tournament without much difficulty. We have the best team here. Personally I do not care who we play, I want KU to get better. I want to see an improved Bill Self. I would love KU players to have a great learning and enjoyable experience as playing CBB in this type of an event is a once in a life time opportunity.

  I’m ready. I’ve been ready since summer. Now things starting to speed up a bit. Love it, been watching other games, now ready to watch the boys go for three nights, hope we preform well. ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BAY. One little side note for the ones that think the sky is falling, just remember that the Nu 1, 4,5, & 9 all lost plus probably a few more also soo it’s not just us, it’s early REALY early, like 2nd game in the season early nad yet to have our boy help with the rim and boards , we will be fine

  You may not like what AsadZ has to say, and you can even dismiss him/her as not knowing. You can even call him/her names. Yet the fact is he’s/she’s speaking a point of view that is gaining favor among the KU faithful. LIke it or not he’s not alone.

  I don’t care about UNC. I care about KU. I want our program to be on top. I want to see FF banners and more NCs. I want fair treatment with players. I don’t want to see double standards. I want our coach to be flexible and better utilize the talent and arsenal available to him and not get stuck with old ways.

  If you played young guys this year it would be the ones with the highest ceilings and have the most talent other than Mason and Ellis. If Diallo could play, then the other 3 guys with the most talent are Bragg, Svi (who just turned 18 …) and Vick.

  @Second-Prize It would be bad… but wasn’t that the year after Calipari won his first and only NC? I’m pretty sure most in here would like the idea of winning a NC then following it up in the NIT, versus no NC but continuing our tournament streak. The freaking out from just one bad game relates to what people experienced being very similar to what our team was like at the end of last year. It was frustrating last year and it is frustrating now. The season has just started and fans are feeling deflated. That isn’t a good thing at Kansas. We need to feel like we can win it all but instead fans got an instant repeat of last year already.
