  I’m glad a few people brought up that Self is not pulling guys who take quick shots and miss… he is evolving and letting his players gain some floor confidence and feel for the up-tempo style that is this years KU team… I love this… although he really barked hard at Svi in Waco, as did veteran Landen. Speaking of svi, I would be shocked if he left… but I am always shocked by the guys who leave and end up in the d-league. And speaking of leaving, There was a big thread a few months back that devonte is defintely leaving and making it plain to those near him… Also, looks like we finally have a OAD who should make a big contribution come tournament time… JJ comes to play hard every single time down the court. Our best OAD ever.

  @jaybate-1.0 I think Self thought Vick was getting lazy and it helped him to sit first, earn it. Vick also fouls a lot and then can’t play long. Svi starting, maybe hoping to get some quick 3’s starting? At least Self doesn’t give up on either one, but doesn’t have much choice. They need to step up! Not much of an answer, just guessing.

  @HawkChamp the committee is a sucker for matchups so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if WSU ends up in our region as an 8/9. Personally I think that would be great. They are not nearly as scary as some of the other potential round of 32 teams we could face. The key is holding serve at home against TCU and OU and we will win the Big 12 alone. We will likely then win at least one game in the Big 12 tourney and get a #1 seed. It still amazes me how huge it is to get a 1. Over the last few years we have seen that the 2 seed is no cake walk in the first round and I’m not just talking about losses but the toll of a close game. The 1 seed tends to be pretty fresh for their next game. Can’t wait to see who we play and where we go. This team is so tough which could be special in March.

  @truehawk93 I saw that and wasn’t trying too be too hard on ya. But should’ve got a T no question, outta the box and closer the player than his own team when I used to ref we were told that if they are outta the box you could T them up.
