@BShark We drove over to South Bend recently and walked around campus. Beautiful place, but their athletic arrogance is 2nd to none, and really hasn’t been earned in the last 30 years or so.

Oh, and I should register my protest of playing a college game on a court that has the word bet on it. Gambling is eroding the integrity of sports and I hate to see it tempting 18 year olds who have bucketloads of money and presumably some free time during their time in Vegas.

Players who showed out today: Flory (duh), Tiller, except he needs to stop shooting 3’s even if the announcers try telling us he’s good at shooting it from out there. Tre White is surprising me with his toughness. Council has some surprising athleticism. Even the underachieving 11 and 13 guys played decently I thought and made a 3 a piece and played some nice defense at times.

ND should have stopped shooting 3’s. They weren’t even close on most of those. They weren’t a very good looking team to be honest, but it’s always good to beat Notre Dame in any sport.

It just feels like we’ll get back from break and they won’t even mention the intentional.

Wow, how about an intentional foul too?

We have not beaten a major conference team so far.

Amazing when this happens, but Duke finally gets an offensive push and they cash in for a cheap goal. 1-0 near halftime.

Soccer clearly outplaying 2nd seeded Duke in Durham. KU has the most road wins in the nation in the last two seasons!

Got to watch a little Dybantsa yesterday, and man does he carry the ball A LOT! I’m glad I didn’t watch more than 10 minutes as I was busy but saw several clear carries. I’m sure we’ll notice it when we play them.

Their O-Line is huge. Not sure if it’s huger than others, but seeing lots of 330-340’s on their roster and lead blocker on that first down run is 355 pounds. Can you imagine?

This is probably the better of our two chances left to become bowl eligible.

Beating the defending Pop Tarts Bowl champion is always a big deal of course. So tomorrow we’ve got our work cut out for us. They’re good enough to have beaten KState which of course we weren’t. But they’re also capable of losing to Cincy at Cincy which of course, we did too, but barely. They trounced Arizona, which we didn’t.

So what does it all mean? Probably another close loss putting this season out of its misery unless we can surprise much tougher Utah next week.

Reasons for hope is a layoff of 2 weeks, but ISU has the same. Lance has their number is another reason for hope. But sometimes those streaks end.

I’m gonna miss watching Jalon Daniels. He’s got some detractors here and some frustrating habits, like fumbling at really bad times, but his 21 TD’s and only 3 INTs is an impressive stat. Hopefully he gives us another good moment tomorrow and that the D holds.

Melvin had some LaGerald Vick looking plays in him last night. The surprise dunk on a semi fastbreak was the play that I thought of that comparison.

A bit annoying to see tweets and ESPN headlines treating Dukes win as a coronation to the title of greatest team ever because they beat us without our best player.

I don’t get this at all. Missing a center? Flory plays next to the rim the whole game. He scores almost at will, just punished Dukes bigs, plays nice defense, rebounds could improve a bit, but I have no clue why you think we’re missing a true center.

Focus on the next. Beating ND would be our first win of the season against a P5 type team. They should beat them I believe, but without DP (?) we’ll need to play well with energy like we did last night.

Kansas 59-57 while Flory was on the floor. In other words, the 21-7 Duke run in the last 8 minutes of the first half was all those a holes needed to beat us.
