@FarmerJayhawk Enjoying the ride, while trying not to suffer a coronary! TBH, the whole thing could come crashing down with the difficult part of the schedule looming. But just even being still interested in pro football this time of year is fun.

@dylans Oh, It’s called Rock Chalk Park (?). I recall looking at it on maps once and it’s a bit on the outskirts of town if I recall correctly.

@dylans Unfortunately 2nd round is in Durham, and then I suppose 3rd-4th round is in Durham too. But the College Cup, ie the Final Four, is in KC this year. It’d be so cool for them to make it there.

I went to the best source for information, formerly twitter, now called X. And there’s entirely rational takes there of course. Protecting himself for the draft, will never play for KU, entitled kid, waste of money, first year we don’t make the dance since 89 coming up, Self should quit, well those are the actual rational takes I read there!

Who knows, maybe some of you have those takes! I’ve always been a trusting person so when I hear tight hamstring I just take that as the gospel truth and fingers crossed we won’t have just a half of a season of someone who they call the next Kobe. I don’t know the young man so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

But, some may have more sinister takes. What do you think is going on?

Yes!! Except for the misplayed ball they overwhelmed Cal Baptist. Enthusiastic crowd out at Rock Chalk Park. We don’t play again until the 20th, either Louisville or Kentucky…the NCAA likes enticing matchups even in soccer. Unfortunately for the locals that round is in Durham, then it says ‘campus sites’ for the next round. If the seeds hold we should be favorites against either. Then maybe a 3rd round match with #1 ND…just down the road in South Bend? Fingers crossed!

@FarmerJayhawk Man I was watching him play his first game at DePaul, me and about 100 other people were actually there and he mysteriously left the game and never came back. Since that game I’ve had two different cancers and organs removed, become a father in law, had 2 grand children, ran a halfmarathon, attended an elite 8 game that KU played in and won and took up a whole new sport called disc golf! That’s been a long time!

TTech not shooting many FT’s but a strange flagrant call on Illinois gave them a chance but they missed the 3. Could have had a 5 point play to tie.

Some good matchups tonight. Michigan almost gets upset by Wake Forest. Illinois small lead over TTech. It’s wrapping up on FS1. 5 minutes to go. Creighton-Gonzaga playing. Louisville beats Kentucky, a result that looks good for us. BYU is only up 1 on Delaware with 10 minutes left.

This has been a really nice defensive effort tonight.

Great night for northern lights even as far south as Chicago. I saw northern lights from the Campanile once while I was a KU student. That was amazing to see that night.
