Sallis is still #1 on their board for sure. Beyond that, I think they go transfer. The lack of grassroots ball this spring and summer unfortunately means a lot of guys the staff would snatch up just didn’t get discovered.

This doesn’t make much sense to me. A local kid who would be a 4 year player is they type of kid they should take in a heartbeat right now. It’s clear they can’t recruit with the big boys so Sallis is a complete pipe dream.

Oh really? Why is that? Academics or being swooped up by a different school for football. I’ve always found it weird how many kids verbal declare but switch to other programs later

I think for optics as much as production. Kids look at the kind of recruits a place gets as a signal that it’s a good place to be. Especially in football. Basketball can be more complicated in that regard since there’s the shoe circuit albatross out there.

That’s great and all and nothing against this kid , BUT I think we should be going full bore and more trying to scour the Nation for a PG.- -I think at this point we are much better off on frontcourt players then back. - -We NEED a PG - kind like how badly our football program needs a QB/- - I wouldn’t think a player like this would be a priority

Guard is definitely the priority. Sallis is in his own tier on KU’s board. They’ll run the race with Davison as well. Beyond that, may look at transfers. I expect a lot of runoff waivers.

There’s a world where Tyon (mistakenly IMO) thinks he’s a OAD, Wilson transfers or Enaruna goes pro, and all the guards come back. Lots of contingency planning.

@FarmerJayhawk I do think Jalen transferring after this year is pretty likely if he isn’t in the rotation this season which I don’t see why he would be in the rotation at this point.

@Texas-Hawk-10 we’ll see what happens after this season. There’s a path to PT for him but not one that’s particularly desirable from KU’s angle. Losing both Enaruna and TGF would be a giant kick in the nads.

Completely agree with that assessment. Agbaji could be back to boot and I know he struggles with handling but he’d still be ahead of Bates.

Well Bates to Texas, myself probably just as well and no matter what some here may think , Sounds like the kid very well might of been a Cancer. - -I know a lot of this is because of what’s been going on - - - -He makes the comment he wanted to play for a Black Coach & then commits to Texas. - - I’m good with that

So, we whiffed on a few recruits. All things considered, with the NCAA hovering around since the Billy Preston days I think that the staff has recruited well. I have no doubt that we will sign another player or two. The question is who is left?

ya that’s him, he does have 40 offers. Yet a lot of those offers aren’t what you would call big time, got enough but I mean not flooded
Some of those offes are : Fla International , Maryland Eastern Shore , Howard , K-State , Miss Valley St , Eastern Carolina , Nicholls St , Troy , Grambling St etc.
Some of the bigger offers are : - -Arizona st , West Virginia , KU , Georgia , Memphis , Wichita State , & Maryland.
So yahe has 40 offers but wouln’t be just in awe over the amount of offers. Having said that would still take this kid in a minute, looks really athletic
