@KirkIsMyHinrich Reddish doesn’t play in the paint, he’sa perimeter oriented player so he’s not going to have a bunch of rebounds. Never mind that despite his shooting, he still averages 14 ppg as the number 3 option and almost 2 steals a game on defense.
Reddish is the guy that can do everything and him being injured is going to negatively hurt Duke quite a bit.

@Texas-Hawk-10 13.6 points per game on 35.8% shooting is not a positive for Reddish when Duke as a team shoots 47.9% from the field. The 1.6 steals per game is nice, but he also turns it over 2.7 times per game, and only averages 2.0 assists per game. His offense is really bad unless he’s standing in the corner and making 3-pointers, and his defense is okay.

@BShark yep the refs favor us supposedly but we never get the friendly touch fouls and dont get to repeatedly hit shooters on the arm with no calls.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Yep. Cal has a real love for ultra athletic guys that can’t shoot.
It had been an issue with Self but then KU teams started taking way more threes. Hopefully this year is a blip, but the amount of attempts was still solid. Just need to make more.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Refs don’t allow defense to be played against Williamson. He is the one initiating contact almost every time he gets the ball in the paint. He gets calls, but rarely gets anything called against. Having said that, he is damn good and may be unstoppable at the next level…

I generally don’t get a lot of personal satisfaction from other teams losing, but Duke and UK failing to make the final four on the same day is amazing. And I’m excited to hear commentary that isn’t exclusively about the Duke BlueZions in the Final 4 and Championship games.

KU didn’t choke even a little bit this year. Just got absolutely whipped by a JR/SR laden team that was also more athletic.
It’s interesting to look at actually.
Austin Wiley #35 recruit JR, Brown basically unranked SR, Jared Harper #87 JR, Chuma Okeke (played until today) #47 SO, Doughty, McLemore and Dunbar all super low ranked guys but experienced too.
Most coaches would do work with a roster where 9 of the 10 rotation players are JR/SR.
