SVI!
-
He had a great game for Ukraine, scoring 22 points and helping to defeat previously unbeaten Spain!
-
Svi is a player!!!
I just hope UKRAINE doesn’t get to politically or militarily hot in coming months.

Only in LA…

@Gorilla72 wow that’s dumb.
-
That jersey will probably be worth $$$. There’s a pretty good history of spelling mistakes on jerseys, and the errors end up being worth quite a bit.
-
@justanotherfan lol I guess it does truly make it a one of a kind item…
-
@Kcmatt7 There are people that collect jersey errors.
SI did a piece a few years ago on some notable errors. Names are most common, but cities and team names are not exempt.
-
@justanotherfan lol thanks for the link
-
Svi continues to impress at Lakers camp…

@Gorilla72 so proud of him!
-
That video is so impresses. Dude can’t miss!
-
By waiting one year, Svi has become a media darling! “Can’t miss!”!!!
-
I just watched the 2nd half of the KU-Duke game. Svi did hit the big game tying 3, but missed a boatload of unguarded 3’s before that. I hope he makes it obviously, but I have my doubts.
-
Might be getting some playing time now.
-
Svi Mykhailiuk scored 47 points in a G-League game last night. Jayhawks tearing up the G-League…

Any buddy heard anything on how Frank is doing this year? – - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Frank apparently played well early, but Fox has come on strong. Frank isn’t getting many minutes.
-
Frank, like Devonte, and Selden, and BMac are all down to minuscule playing time. Oubre’s OK, Preston’s the worst NBA player who never played for KU, Wigs, JJ will stick around a few more years, and Embiid is a stud. The Morrii twins are productive NBA players.
And this sums up fairly well why our team hasn’t been quite able to climb to the top. We have marginal NBA players who stick around town for their careers. And when we have enough marginal NBA players like in 2008 they win!

Your right – the only true NBA guy right now is Jo Jo - like you say absolute beast. - - Morris twins again as you say very solid NBA but in no ways any form of dominant. Pierce was a stud long solid NBA career very good - -but after that - -maybe not so much.
A lot of players drafted - -but in up in D league or G league or whatever - -players oversea’s and such - -but just not over the hump - -tweeners. - - go enough to make some money some where but not above average NBA players. - -Hinrich was ok – Collison was ok - - - -could go on & on - -but your right for sure. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 Generally Roy created or at least recruited more NBA ready players than Self. Gooden was very productive, so was Ostertag.
-
@jayballer73 @wissox - speaks to HCBS ability to play team ball and get the most out of players…

That’s who I was trying to think of and couldn’t remember his name at the moment - - - I got old timers lol - -ya it was Gooden - remembered his face but couldn’t think of his name

Dok would’ve feasted in that era.
-
I think we will continue to see this trend as the NBA moves towards more of a positionless game. If Self continues to focus on fairly defined roles and positions, it will make it harder to have guys jump to the NBA unless they are just otherworldly athletically. I wish KU would scrap the high low in favor of more of a pace and space game, but that isn’t where we are heading. Dok should be a screen setting, rim running, lob catching machine. Instead Self continues to post him up. That’s probably going to keep Dok out of the NBA again next summer, unfortunately for him.

He should be feasting in this one, too.

@jayballer73 Gooden going pro after his junior year prevented us from winning it all I have no doubt. 3 productive NBA players as seniors, which it would have been that year, all playing together would have made that team an all time great team in my opinion.
