That was what I have always said that pissed the Mildcat faithful to no end. “If they played as hard every night as they did against Kansas, they’d be in the NCAA tournament every year”. Several years both under Squeak and Tang they have looked like a decent team early on in the season. Beat us in the octagon of dumb early in conference and then they just pack it in but claim it wasn’t their Super Bowl. This year is the exception, they are just a terrible basketball team.

Just got through listening to K/State getting their ass smacked again.- -got beat by Iowa St like 05=61. They are just grilling Tang, only thing holding them up is his buy out

I was channel surfing earlier and watched for a few minutes. Damn talk about life less team, everyone on the floor in purple looked like they were being held against their will.

@kjayhawks2.0 That program is so dis jointed now buddy --- -lifeless , such turmoil going on. I don't care there is no way a team should be getting blasted like that game after game after game. They have a Coach who places the blame on things on every thing but the real thing- - - -HIM.
I wish I could say I feel sorry for them but I can't lol. It's K/Straight for gosh sakes It has gotten to a point with these back to back blow outs that even the buy out is going to save him for another year , his ten million dollar roster can't save him from himself. I'm sorry but it looks like that he has lost this team for sure..

The question becomes did Tang forget how to coach? Or were Nowell and Johnson just that damn good? Coaches coach and players play but is that team a NCAA tournament team with a better coach?

Those 2 were just that good. Caught lightning in a bottle with both, they both had tremendous chips on their shoulders from their path to where they ended up

This Kstate team has absolutely quit which is part of it but yeah Nowell and Key were both awesome players. One he inherited and the other basically no one else would take so he completely lucked into those two. Since then he just seems to ride out the portal looking for the guys that only care about the bag. This year is exactly what you get when you hitch your wagon to PJ Haggerty.
