K State Give Me a Break … Game Chat 7 PM CT

The talking heads said it would be KU up in the second half and then pull away with 8 minutes to go. Not bad. Two big road wins and avoiding a third conference loss. Elmarko after sitting out last year is getting his groove back.
-
After the what happened in AFH a few years back when were up 25 and respectfully tried to run out the clock and it resulted in a bench clearing brawl.

12 dimes and 1 turnover from Melvin. Fucking ridiculous. No reason this guy can't get a cup of coffee in the nba
Hopefully he can get another year here then make a living in the NBA. So underrated and has traits made for the league

The Elmarko game.

@rcjhdraft That is great!

His first step is special. The shooting has become slowly respectable and the touch around the rim is so much better. Also a fantastic defender. Zero reason he can't make it in the league on a two way

Satisfying conclusion.
Beginnings of games matter too of course and kudos to Tiller for delivering the O when no one else was.
Kudos to shutting off the big oafs offensive rebounding who had like 7 or 8 in the first few minutes. He ended with 8.
Kudos too for taking away that Serbian kids 3 ball. He didn't make another after making 4 early on.
Speaking of 3's they took it away from the bricking kitties. They were 8 for 16 I noticed but after that went 2 for 13. Adjustments
Some comments about Flory and Tre needing to get it going. Well Tre mainly did at the FT line. Flory? 21 points and 10 boards! Wow, thats coming back in a big way. His posterizing dunk on the big oaf was memorable and should have been and an 1.
Jamari, a blotch on the stat sheet, but Elmarko picked up the scoring slack for DP.
-
honestly as long we won the first half I felt pretty good about winning the game. Their shooting was absurd
-
Craziest thing is the game was 59-55 with 7:52 left.
-
Much better second half. We hit the boards and the results speak for themselves. Some tough shots and help from the refs kept KSU in the game for a while but it was unsustainable
-
Did u see Mel doing the wabash dance at the end? Self was trying hard not to smile! He did crack a small one. Mel diving on the floor and Tre dunking the ball. The were in a zone. Reminded me of EJ at ISU. My youngest son said they were chanting the FU chant. I didn’t hear it. I didn’t see many shaking hands. So happy to smoke them and anxious to hear both coaches post games talk! Rock Chalk!

We made 27 baskets in the lane, they made 11.
-
I like the dunk at the end. Love that these guys have some fight and toughness on the road. KU has had such road struggles some running it in on little brother really feels good.
-
Council may not have started his career as a Jayhawk, but his actions against Missouri amd KSU show he's fully bought in and been converted into a true Jayhawk.

Buca and Flory -
I thought it was a great team win, huge game by Tiller arguably his best so far. Flory had a big second half, Elmarko may have played his best game as a hawk, Melvin was Melvin and Tre was quiet but still had solid numbers. The only bad stat is Mari’s 23 minutes with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. But as long one of the pair of him and Elmarko show up, it’s positive. It’s big to go on the road spank someone that really doesn’t belong in the gym with us. That’s been missing for a few years. Last 2 seasons we prob eke out a close one against an inferior opponent or crap ourselves late.

I think that Elmarko "the frame" Jackson's ability to get to the line was huge today
