Another one in the books… Another fun season. The ride this year was pretty great. Glad to share it with you guys.

If Newman and Lawson are together on our team we could have 2 guys averaging 20ppg. Dueling frontrunners for national player of the year on the same team. Would that be a first or is that even possible?

KU advanced a lot further than even most posters in this board thought they would through most of the season. With the Preston saga and lack of depth the Sweet 16 was likely the ceiling for this team and yet they manage to win #14, the conference tournament and advance to the Final Four…how can we not be proud of this team? I certainly am and looking forward to next season.

Zero chance Newman stays unfortunately.

@BShark You could be right BUT Newman could graduate, improve his draft stock, and if he declares for the draft (which he will) he might not hear $$$ signs? He has already stayed in school 3 years without going pro. Who’s to say he doesn’t give it another shot? Next years draft is supposedly a weaker draft and if he plays anywhere near his March Production for a whole season he would be a sure fire 1st round pick. I am thinking Newman is smarter than you give him credit for.

@approxinfinity A belated shout out for all you do on this board.
A nice change of pace from all the Pac 12-centric media out here on the coast.As ambivalent as I am about chat rooms and social media in general, this board has managed to keep things pretty classy, save the odd flareup or two.
Flying back to KC later this week, and I plan to spend a day in Lawrence reminding myself just how lucky I am to be a KU alum. Makes it worth having to deal with my Northwest friends who keep telling me to “shut up about Kansas already.” (Nope.)
See you all next season. (Or maybe sooner!)
