The Ivan Drago clones?

Marsha isn’t as good as people think he is, he decent but let’s look at his numbers. 11 years at WSU three conference titles in a crap league, his tournament record as a coach is 11-14. If you take away the one final four he’s hasn’t been all that special.
-
Greyson just jackin up 3s and not making many
-
Dook looks in good shape here, I was hoping for a 6 OT thriller lol.
-
One thing I’ll say is Duke has given Syracuse several open shots from deep and haven’t been able to capitalize on it, 3 made 3s so far. That bodes well for us if we can have guys hitting.
-
I’m assuming we will get in foul trouble against Duke. Can we use some Lightfoot? Was their anything wrong with Mitch today or Bill just wanted Silvio?
-
Why did seconds off before fouling their best ft shooter?
-
3 teams in the final 8, not shabby! Hoping for 2 of 3, KU and Tech!
-
Go Big12!
-
Coach K said “they” defended Grayson well: Mason, Josh, Devonte, and Vick took turns.
-
Purdue must be smarting from being eliminated 2 years in a row by Big 12 teams.
-
@CRH107 was fun!
-
Look at this breakdown of teams by State in the Sweet 16.
- Florida - 1 Florida State
- Illinois - 1 Loyola
- Indiana - 1 Purdue
- Kansas - 2 Kansas and Kansas State
- Kentucky - 1 Kentucky
- Michigan - 1 Michigan
- Nevada - 1 Nevada
- New York - 1 Syracuse
- North Carolina - 1 Duke
- Pennsylvania - 1 Villanova
- South Carolina - 1 Clemson
- Texas - 2 Texas Tech. and Texas A&M
- Washington - 1 Gonzaga
- West Virginia - 1 West Virginia
Only 2 states with 2 teams, Texas and Kansas
Elite 8
- Florida - 1 Florida State
- Illinois - 1 Loyola
- Kansas - 2 Kansas and Kansas State
- Michigan - 1 Michigan
- North Carolina - 1 Duke
- Pennsylvania - 1 Villanova
- Texas - 1 Texas Tech.
Only 1 State, Kansas, with 2 teams and happens to be the smallest of all the states represented and all its major Schools are in. Best college basketball State?
Only 1 conference with 3 teams, the Big 12, which showed up this year and proved to be the top conference top to bottom.

Sunday game is at 4:05 PM.

WSU board said Marsha picked Clemson over us, anybody see that? I was watching pregame. They hate our guts.
Well, yeah, he’s a horrible coach and they are out of the tourney, so…
-
Boy, I thought the end of the Seton Hall game was torture with no one guarding Carrington. Against Clemson, our last field goal was at the 4:44 mark. Come on guys, almost 5 minutes without a field goal to finish a tournament game. We were hanging on by one manicured fingernail against the furiously clawing Tigers. Yeah, yeah survive and move on, but let’s continue to be as aggressive on offense as we were to get the lead. Malik can lead the offense when Devonte sits. Play with confidence-you’ve earned it.

Bet he knows these numbers. People wonder why he doesn’t take a better job… Well he is pretty safe at WSU with these numbers…
He was 1-7 at Winthrop though, so at WSU he is 10-7. Not amazing but for WSU it’s livable and they have 7 straight tournament appearances.
-
@BShark I still think he’ll jump ship if the right amount of dollars and place come into the picture. He hasn’t really had a great offer, Texas choose to offer Smart over him.
-
@mayjay lol - - -gotcha. – ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@kjayhawks Hmm, maybe the schools are smart enough then, though I still don’t think Shaka was a great choice either.
-
UCLA offered and he passed.
-
@JayHawkFanToo what has UCLA been recently?
-
@kjayhawks a decent tournament team with a huge recruiting pool and amazing resources.
I feel like you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth on this now. There isn’t going to be a job that opens up that he takes over a good program minus if Someone retires. Basically, you can’t say he’d leave for money and then say but also only if it’s a good program and has a good roster (which UCLA still is and would have)
-
@Kcmatt7 I just think UCLA plays second fiddle to football and has under performed under Alford. Idk if Marsha was officially offer job anyway.
-
@kjayhawks I know Alabama asked
-
What @Kcmatt7 said. If Marshall wanted to leave he could have done before because he has had several opportunities and he has chosen to stay at WSU. You have to give him credit because up to now he has shown loyalty to the program and he had gotten paid well in return.
-
@JayHawkFanToo I don’t think he’s had that many opportunities to leave and go to a better situation. Texas got who they wanted according to a Texas booster that I’m friends with. Alabama isn’t a place I’d want to go as a head Basketball coach and has been a doormat most years in the SEC where only UK fans give a crap about basketball. The UCLA job if he was actually offered it, would be the only decent team he has turned down. I bet if Roy or Coach K retires and offers he’d be gone on a red eye the next day.
-
Very few high profile HC position available and they don’t come around very often, particularly when he is one of the top 10 paid coaches in college basketball. Arizona could be one, depending on what develops with Sean Miller.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Agreed but you act like he turned down some high profile jobs. People forget he is in the top 10 of coach salaries, makes more than Jay Wright and Roy Williams who are more than one hit wonders.
