ok Big 12 / SEC challenge
-
@benshawks08 hopefully doke doesn’t get a quick foul! I’m going to the game! Should be good for the win!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 My wife and I are going also. We are very excited, first game at the Phog since fall of 2008. Our adult children bought us tickets and hotel room for Christmas.

Florida over Baylor
Iowa St over Tennessee
KU over Texas A&M (I expect a L, no confidence here just can’t pick them to lose)
Tech over USC east
Texas over Ole Miss
K-St over Georgia
OU over Alabama
Vandy over TCU
Arkansas over Ok-St
WVU over Kentucky
7-3 Big-12
Umm just have to disagree about South Carolina. - -Playing at South Carolina , Tech in a slump , - - losing two out of their last three -to Texas & Iowa State by 18. - Om top of that again South Carolina at home playing pretty good ball recently beating Kentucky - winning @ Florida - -& @ Georgia - -I think it might be a long day for Tech
Iowa State pretty sad - ya I know @ home - but # 22 Tennessee pretty solid.

@Barney romantic!️

Davis isn’t the only big they have that will cause us problems. Robert Williams who turned down the draft to come back has been playing better of late. He’s that Jordan Bell type athlete that blocks everything and causes problems. We have nobody to guard him with our 4 guard set. Rebounding will be a huge factor in this one. Read KU has lost the rebounding edge in 9 straight games
-
@BeddieKU23 maybe Vick will have to step up!
-
Anything can happen in these games. Tech has played poorly adjusting to life without Zach Smith. But South Carolina is no world beater and I think there getting too much praise for beating SEC teams that they know. I think Tech finds a way to win this one

Williams has about 50 pounds on him.
They play zone too. We’re in for a close one (like always)
-
@BeddieKU23 we can run on them

If we force turnovers which has been a big issue for A&M. They have shot the ball poorly from 3 most of the year too. Some gives and takes to how this one might end
-
Florida over Baylor
Iowa St over Tennessee - I would pick Tennessee but ISU is tough at home
KU over Texas A&M - Motivated KU team ready to show the loss at OU was not how the team rolls.
Tech over SC - Away game for the Tech. but they edge Martin’s team.
Texas over Ole Miss
K-St over Georgia
OU over Alabama
TCU over Vandy - Toss up game but I will give the edge to the frogs who are on a crusade to regain credibility.
Arkansas over Ok-St - Game is at Arkansas so they get the advantage.
WVU over Kentucky - No way, no how this UK team beats Huggy at home. I see the Wildcats being flustered by the press and WVU wins by a bunch. Most one sided game of this year’s challenge.
8-2 Big-12 best case, 6-4 worst case if ISU and TCU lose. Most likely outcome…Big 12 7-3.

I just want Kansas to win. I don’t really care too much about conference perception.
I guess I want Kentucky to lose, too.
Missouri isn’t participating this year, but I hope they lose to whichever SEC team they’re playing.

Mizzou doesn’t need to play. Still a loser any day of the week.

Good call.

I think we are looking at a 3 game losing streak before rebounding against Oklahoma State.
-
@BShark You always think this team is losing.
-
@Jayballer54 You’re being too diplomatic 10-0 Big 12!
-
I like KU’s chances today if Doke can stay on the floor (with the exception of the last few minutes in a tight game). I don’t feel good about going to KState, though.

Purps are on a roll.
This A&M team is jekyll and hyde. I feel they will be jazzed up for today. Also they are 2-0 against the B12 already fwiw.
-
Ya but that was early on. They haven’t been playing very well lately. I’m worried DJ Hogg is going to make a bunch of 3’s, though.
-
Baylor getting dumpstered by UF. TTU and USC in a tight one.

So KU is getting ready to lose in Allen Fieldhouse to a team tied for last in the SEC?
Who’s peeing in your cereal every morning for you to keep saying KU is going to lose just about every game this year?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I’ve only actually predicted about 5 losses. I think a lot of people will be surprised by this A&M team. Their record is deceptive.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich I’m expecting close since it’s at AFH, as strange as it is to write that sentence! Therefore, it will be interesting to see how they handle Doke’s PT down the stretch. As someone pointed out this game is sort of like an exhibition game (although tournament seedings are still at stake) so some experimenting may be done with Doke’s usage.

psssssssssssssssssssssssssst - – please lmao- -let me have some of that your drinking roflmmfao - -OH psssssssst just a little quick FYI - -good old Baylor getting their ass KICKED - so now I got to try and figure how you still get 10-0 - that was funny though in all seriousness. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@BShark At this point in the season, their record isn’t deceiving. They’re 6-7 since December started and 0 quality wins in that time frame. They looked like a Final Four team in November, but haven’t done anything since then.
-
Tech with an early win against South Carolina, Baylor looking more and more like a NIT team falls to Florida. Bunch of tight games early as KSU battles Georgia, OU vs Bama and Texas vs Ole Miss.
-
OU getting kicked early at Alabama. Took a break from Big 12 games and was watching a little of the UVA Duke game. UVA plays some tough defense. Bunch of guys I’ve never heard of …reminds me of the line in the movie Major League…“Who are these f-----g guys?” That Bennett can coach.
-
Nice win for Tech, they closed the game with a great run against a solid SC team. OU will bounce back in the second half. I don’t expect much from Drew or Smart and they don’t disappoint.
-
Faylor only B12 loss so far.
OU struggling against Bama. Looks like Kruger and Co learned some offense from KU utilizing their bigs more.
Kitty Kats struggling against Georgia.
Once again, we are the B12 and anything is possible.
-
Two bad turnovers by Young.
-
Purps gonna win.
-
KSU wins and Texas well ahead. OU in a deep hole.
-
Young can be contained with tough, hard defense.
-
We should have beat OU honestly.
-
@BShark Of course we should have, in fact, we did have them beat…all but beat. It was a W, but it just slipped our hands.
-
3-2 B12 one game win at this point?

Right on cue.

I hope a KU win takes the FT factor away. NOPOKEADOKE
-
Who’s calling game?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Officially or ESPN?

We are quicker but they are really tough inside. I think this game stays close. Hopefully Self learned from last time.
-
Whos this Vick guy?
-
I’m totally okay with A&M continuing to turn the ball over and Tyler Davis taking jumpers though.
-
@truehawk93 ESPN
-
Welcome back Lagerald Vick and HOW DO YOU DO?
-
KU needs to throttle down
-
Need to tighten up on D…need stops to build half time lead
-
Be nice to have a 20+ lead at half and demoralize this TAM team.
-
Let’s get Doke involved early and draw some fouls. Get him on the line now to get rid of the FT voodoo
