So Something Is Up With Preston (Not Playing Tonight)
-
Duke just got away with a flagrant; I guess the check to the refs cleared.
-
@JayHawkFanToo I’ve been happy with sling, it is behind by about 10 seconds but if you have decent internet it works great for a fraction of the cost.

Is this speculation or is info out there?
I was asking whether the wording by Self about financial concerns, coupled with not playing Preston, meant they were wondering about how he purchased the car (why keep him out unless to avoid playing a potentially ineligible player?). The illustration was just one of several conceivable scenarios that could be a hint if true.
All speculation, no info.

So far so good but YouTube TV has a lot more sports channels, recorder with unlimited storage and allows 3 simultaneous streams; if not for the lack of support for Roku it would be a no brainer.
-
@BShark I saw where the car may be connected with Scott Pollard? - -so then the question arises well several questions arise - did Pollard give him a car? - that would if true would fall under impermissible benefits right? - Which would cause him being ineligible or dam who knows really screws the team.
Kentucky going to eat us alive on the boards Doke be in so much foul trouble - this could be ugly. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

That’s a running joke… Oh OK - - - the way things are going with this kid - thinking anything is possible. - -Only 7 rotation players -anyone get in foul trouble we are in trouble - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Maybe he didn’t have insurance
-
@jayballer54 It goes back to some crap on a Missouri forum where they “had proof” that someone had a car from Scot Pollard. I don’t remember the player anymore as this was many years ago.
-
@JayHawkFanToo me, too. cut the cable right after the Oregon game.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Lack of insurance should not make him ineligible unless it is considered a conduct violation of team rules (disciplinary, not anticipatory eligibility, suspension by HCBS).
-
@JayHawkFanToo what does the YouTube tv cost??
-
Maybe Self will hold tryouts? I’m a little concerned especially if De Sousa isn’t cleared at the semester.

He almost has to now. This really sucks. As of now the suspension is indefinite.
-
Strike 2 on our prize freshman power forward. Bill Self is not messing around trying to baby this kid. If this car thing is not resolved quickly in Preston’s favor the kid might get an extension at the plate for a possible strike 3; but his batting time looks to be running short. The words Personal Responsibility loom ominously. Step up, Mitch Lightfoot! Make the very most and best of this golden opportunity to grow and shine!
-
@BShark we do have a couple of football players that were solid BB playersx in high school to think about.
-
@kjayhawks All hands on deck.

Wow, just think about how excited they would be going from – well, you know, whatever adjective suits your fancy – to a championship caliber team!

Well I mentioned earlier that Gurley had talked about Self and Calipari being man to man coaches but that Ku might play some zone to stay out of foul trouble. – I think that KU playing zone now is almost a given. - I think this is the only kind of chance we have to even try and stay with UK on the boards and help keep Doke out of foul trouble.
I’ve watched Uk’S first two games and other then Diallo I haven’t really seen guys that can drain the 3 on a consistent basis maybe enough to pull us out of the zone. - I almost bet you going to see a lot of zone I would think. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@kjayhawks There’s a walk on TE that played JuCo ball and averaged 19 and 10 I think. The kid is 6-7, 260 so he could some game day depth in the paint for Self if needed.
-
Could self possibly have more integrity for sitting him? And could Billy possibly be more of an imbecile? What a colossal dunce. I love our coach for doing what is right no matter what. I hope Doke beats the living sh*t out of Preston after the game.

Ya they was talking about him earlier in the month - -had an article on him - Coach better have some try outs for sure - -we need a big body to at least spell Doke from foul trouble. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 Almost have to run some zone d tonight. Kentucky is not a great shooting team either so maybe it works.
-
@jayballer54 @BShark garret is laughing his way all the way to the scorers table…cuz he gets to check in for more PT since his fellow freshman is AWOL again.

Thing is Coach really didn’t have a choice BUT to sit him. - - I agree with you but from what I am hearing and understanding KU wants to get a better financial status on how Billy got the car? - - who’s Car was it? - can’t take a chance and play him and then find out because of this he was ineligible that would not be good,
I’m so sick and tired of these kids not manning up. they have to realize that it’s not just effecting him - -it’s effecting the team - -man grow up. - -A single car accident - was he Drunk? or other what caused this single car accident I mean Damm. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 That is why I want Doke to kick the crap out of him. Selfish pre madonna

YES exactly, that’s what I mentioned just a couple of minutes ago. - Diallo is the only one that I’ve seen so far that can possibly hit that shot consistently - the others here and there, I bet we see a lot of Zone. - -We have to to try and stay on the Boards - -help to keep Doke out of trouble - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Diallo is a terrible shooter it kept him out of last year’s draft. However anyone can get hot so who knows.
-
$35, a real good deal
-
It appears that Billy drives a Dodge Charger. So, at least a believable vehicle? Hopefully this crap gets sorted soon but I’m not hopeful given that it shouldn’t take long to see who owns a vehicle…
-
@BShark Now to top off this Nighmare - - -Looks like we get to listen to Dickie V all fricken game - -my night is complete - -dam. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 Nightmare now is how we are playing…
-
@DCHawker it’s like we forgot how to pass and shoot. Looks like a friggin middle school. So undisciplined.
We really needed Billy this year. That would really, really hurt. So sick of stuff happening that keeps us from having a full roster. Fortunately, wehave a good chance at de sousa
-
KU shooting 34.2% from the field and 26.7% from 3. Amazing tha KU is ahead shooting this poorly; had the shot close to their average and is a double digit game.
-
If you tuned in at halftime and listened to the announcers, you would think KU was losing by 20.
-
@HawkChamp Awful shot selection - esp. Graham and Newman.
-
This acts like they’ve never been coached the basics. Enough to make you pull your hair out. How atrocious
-
They have had wide open looks and have not converted and now there is no rebounding.
-
When do the coaches tell Newman to be smarter on those drives? Yes not going to score one on three. Good grief
-
@HawkChamp Wonder what they’ve been practicing. A bunch of 23 ft jumpers and out of control drives. Newman has been awful. No one has played well.
-
Svi is still unathletic, Graham is good but not great, Newman is delusional. Maybe Garrett can balance the team. Ugh, Vick still can’t play defense well enough.
-
Who is worse? Newman or Vick? I thought Newman would learn a thing or two from Frank Mason. Perhaps he’s just early Frank Mason right now.
-
@HawkChamp That’s what Frank Mason looked like for the better part of 3 seasons at Kansas. He really didn’t start figuring out how to drive and pass until pretty late into his ju lot season.
-
Newman has got to stop driving 1 on 3…
-
For not having any subs not looking to shabby, against a really tall team.
-
Where are our good shooters? This is a pathetic display of shooting. Wow
-
Garrett is a defensive revelation. Relefordation.
-
Atrocious shooting - outside of the big guys 5 dunks, we’re 18 of 59 from the field…
-
Malik!
-
Graham is no Mason when it comes to end of clock creation.
