Svi needs a charge
He needs something. HCBS ran a play for him early and he hit the first shot. Thought that might get him started, but it was all downhill from there. 7th straight game where he not only hasn’t scored, but has contributed anything else - and is a liability defensively. We’re effectively a 6 man rotation now. If we get into any foul trouble in a game, we’re going to need him to deliver something, anything…
-
Agree. I have some hope for Vick on that end JR/SR year.
-
@DCHawker hopefully Svi is just deferring to the alpha dogs and will step up big when we need him like his huge 3s in the Kentucky game.
-
Read it and weep rest of the Big 12:

@Texas-Hawk-10 it would be nice as the #1 overall to pick your site.
-
Wins like these are what makes me think that this team can win a national title.
-
@approxinfinity Hope springs eternal…!
-
@approxinfinity we know he can!
-
This team will want to win the Big 12 tournament. This team likes winning.
-
@KUSTEVE As does every team lol. Honestly I want to win it. But I’d rather lose first time out than lose after that so we get rest. I’ve always thought the lower conference teams that are playing their tournaments now have a huge advantage with basically 2 weeks of rest. It is better for the B12 now that they moved the title game to Saturday instead of Sunday like it was for years.
-
@dylans Even if KU lost to TCU/OU, they’re gonna be the 1 seed in the Midwest in Tulsa and KC.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 is Evans projected in the draft?
-
@kjayhawks no I think its Saturday
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I would have to agree that this win should’ve locked up a 1 seed.
-
@HawkChamp reread my post, I said it used to be on Sunday.
-
Great road win. Mason, Jackson, Graham and Lucas are Jayhawk Warriors. 20 pts. off the bench. What? That’s a sign of future success in the tournament. Here we go. These guys refuse to lose. We killed them on the boards 42 to 30. I read all that as much success to come for this team. RCJH

Class as always bye Self but goodness coach Sutton doesn’t look good. I’ll always remember him running down the sideline to shake Collison and Hinrichs hand on senior night at AFH. Man we had some battles in the late 90s and early 00s with him. Always respected him as one of my favorite non KU coaches. Best of luck to him.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Mostly early 2nd round so there’s a realistic chance he comes back next year. If he’s back, he’s B12 preseason POY.
-
@kjayhawks Nice post kj
-
@kjayhawks my dad played against him.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 thx. He might move up. Bet he goes to the combine.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 He absolutely gets an invite.
-
Did anybody happen to catch who had the game after ours? Got so tired of Puke/UNC commercials and banners during our game I hope they both lose. Wonder what ESPN’s ad budget was for that game.

March Madness 2017: Big 12 tournament bracket set; Kansas, WVU top seeds
Kansas will await the winner of TCU-Oklahoma

The Big 12 tournament bracket for 2017 has taken its official shape.
The tournament will be played in Kansas City, and the Jayhawks – which won the league by an outrageous four games – will await the winner of TCU vs. Oklahoma.
The tournament gets underway on Wednesday. The title game will be played Saturday night. West Virginia is the 2 seed, Baylor is the 3. Over the past 21 years, Kansas has earned a top-two seed in the league’s tournament 17 times. Kansas’ Bill Self has coached his program to the top of the conference standings 13 straight years, a feat accomplished by no other coach in men’s Division I basketball history.
Kansas won the tournament last year, and also in 2013. The two years in between, Iowa State won. West Virginia only joined the league four seasons ago.
Baylor has never won the conference playoff title.

@brooksmd I honestly didn’t think the first game was all that great, had 2 lead changes in the second half. This game is better but our duke, WVU and UK games were better IMO.

I’m not convinced Bruce Weber coached teams like winning.

His play of late has bumped him into the first round of a lot of mocks.

Evans rightfully would be the pre-season favourite, but I think Newman will contend for that award next year.

OLD.

@BShark that’s not nice?
-
Didn’t mean any offense.
-
@BShark well played!! Haha
-
@kjayhawks ya think?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 not in regards to @BShark comments to you but rather saying Bruce Weber coached teams don’t want to win.
