East Coast screws KU again chat.

Hey… everyone in here that went off on our guys… you get a free pass because our guys deserved to have their arses ripped.
-
@truehawk93 You obviously don’t read my post.

Because of the stage, the Memphis comeback is the best. Because of the rivalry the MU comeback is up there. Because of sheer determination and point to overcome this is the biggest comeback.
-
A big big step towards #13
I’ll say it again and again - when league play starts, A WIN IS A WIN. Period.
It is the nature of d1 b- ball. Don’t overthink it
-
At least they have an identity now
-
@DCHawker good points but winning 37.5 minutes does not win a game. I still lose sleep over the 2013 Michigan game.

Beat Baylor Saturday and it’s over.
-
@KansasComet I got you man. I consider you not only a man of high integrity but also a realist. This team can beat anyone, any where, any time. You do a great job of remembering that.
-
A win Saturday against Baylor puts KU 3 up with 4 to play and a chance to clinch at least a share of #13 at home against TCU when Brandon Rush’s #25 goes up into the south rafters.
-
How many teams shoot 33% in regulation and win? Let’s do dunk lines for about 2 hours on Thursday.

Breaking news:
The fire department was called as there was smoke in the Fieldhouse. After they arrived to fight a blazing fire. they found it was only the PHOG. Sadly WVU and Huggy bear are still having a hard time seeing. May need corrective lenses.
-
-
@approxinfinity I always try to remain upbeat about KU! I really appreciate that. Just because some bailed does not mean ever did. Again, thanks!
-
@BShark Thank you. Many are crazy mad at the refs. I like this WVU guy, though:
“Re: Cheat city. Yesterday at 11:42 PM We’ve never actually never lost a game, we’ve just got cheated out of a few hundred over the years. It’s a conspiracy through the ages.”

Good post… but remember we are still in conference play… and then we have March.
It’s a great thing that we can come on down the stretch. That is an awesome quality.
But we are getting smoked on our home court. And we can’t pull away from even the worse teams in our league.
We need to push our guys to play 40 minutes of basketball. Without that, it is very unlikely we can go far in March.
In March, sure… we will take any win we can get. And a game like this in March is colossal. But can we show a different pattern now? Can we just beat someone down for 40 minutes like most great teams do?

Hey…
Kudos to Huggybear and his Mountaineers.
They don’t have a single McDs AA. But they come to play ball and they expose us in areas of toughness.
-
@drgnslayr The 2012 team didn’t blow anybody out either and still reached the title game.
-
@BShark His team plays football and he whines about free throws. Give me a break.
-
It was nice to see this team show some grit. Josh has it in spades even though his shot wasn’t falling tonight.
-
I like this post from WV board:
The problem seems to go full circle back to a question I asked after one of our early losses. Will other teams press us? Most folks laughed it off. Said we’re a pressing team. Won’t work. We are absolutely dreadful at inbounding against the press. We are not 3-6 in close games but nearly gave A&M away too.
How about Landen with two huge plays in the press? We could roll out that press a little more
-
Josh and LaGerald kept us within range. Lucas was solid. Graham was absolutely clutch when it mattered. Mason was there on both ends of the court. Outstanding team victory!!
-
@DoubleDD Must have been the net on KU’s end!
-
I just don’t see a logic argument for having a strategy to be behind most of the game and trying to pull it out at the end and think that can win in March.
Sure it can. And every time it happens it is magic. And magic usually wins it all in March.
But can we count on magic for 6 games?
I’d rather have us count on magic just once or twice.
-
End of the press WVU conference with Huggy & two players. ESPN announcer says “Sadness, Party of 3. Your table is ready.”

Yeah I’m not even sure Huggy wants MCDAA at this point. They play 10 guys double digit minutes on average this year. Thugball.

Enhhhh this team doesn’t have the depth to press. Guys would foul out too much.
-
I could be wrong but I though he said…we cannot send a player so many times to the line and expect to win…or words to that effect.
-
@drgnslayr fully agree that we should be beating teams by more but I’ll take wins. The blow outs just are not coming this year. This is not a great KU team. Not an 07, 08, 11 level squad. It’s more like a 2012 team and that team clawed their way to a Championship game. I see a lot of that team in this years squad.
-
@JayHawkFanToo he said that also
-
@drgnslayr No, KU will not win in March going down double digits, but that 2012 team came from behind in at least 3 of the games that tournament and damn near did it against a Kentucky team that wiped the floor with KU early in the year.
-
Maybe. I wouldn’t mind seeing Bill play with it more in general. It was damn good.
-

He did, but in the context of them getting only 29 FTs compared to our over 40 even tho we were fouling on purpose. Said it was even bigger disparity b/c of that. No reason to mention disparity if he just thought they fouled us too much.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Once again bro me too!!
-
@truehawk93 I’m not eating crow
-
@KUSTEVE Memphis & misery all I recall better since HCBS been here…memories of Roy, Larry & Texx are starting to fade…
-
@Blown You sure it is not the $25k he lost out on?
-
@cragarhawk Get better. Hopefully this will help.
-
@KUSTEVE This is why we expect to win- THIS IS KANSAS BASKETBALL DAMNIT !!!
-
Frankly, their forum does not feel any different than ours. Some band wagon fans and some solid and well reasoned posts.
-
@DanR Because it was a charge, player control - - -EOCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
I hope the “leaving losers” weren’t allowed back in.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Agreed tex Those 2 are hands down the other best that this old geezer recalls, but there were a couple back in the 60’s with Jo Jo & Walt Wesley that were PDG too…Great to be able to share more with other generations. This is a special legacy that no other school will ever have. This is KANSAS BASKETBALL !! RCJHGOKU !!!
-
18 minutes. 1 rebound. 0 points. 5 fouls
-
@BShark I think it’s 13 & counting cause bill will stay in their asses with both feet… If he doesn’t I’ll ( & many others) will be major pissed-major !
-
@Eric-san was there too, also when we came back in the West Virginia game when Perry got hurt! Fun times, never give up!
-
@Blown blew the old record away
