Prediction Time

That would not work for KU because would have already scored a TD…
For KU to score only 1 point, West Virginia would have to have a PAT blocked, recover the ball, run backwards all the way to its own end zone and be tackled by KU there.
-
Oh My Goodness! Well, I predict stupid scores every week and wanted to think of one that was about as stupid as it can get. I win!! Good news - Basketball in one week!!
-
@JayHawkFanToo It could happen like this-- KU blocks the PAT and returns it to the 1 yard line, fumbles then WVU recovers it in their own endzone. Highly unlikely tho lol but possible
-
Once KU fumbles and WVU recovers, it resets, then I believe the safety would be worth 2 points…but I could be wrong…we are in territory where the refs would huddle, check the rules, make a decision and the next day the NCAA says they got it wrong. LOL.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Not on an extra point only worth one as was the KSU, Oregon one.
-
Like I said, we are in uncharted territory with the likelihood of it ever happening being infinitesimal if at all possible. I am way out of my comfort zone or knowledge of the rules. Somebody with lot more knowldege would have to make that call. I am grasping at straws here…LOL.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Lets just hope that we score more than this crazy one point talk haha
-
I blame it on @nuleafjhawk . LOL.
-
28-10 loss.
Still quite a ways away from being able to compete week in and week out, although progress has been made.
-
All joking aside, what I watch for is improvement in any area possible. It’s difficult for me to look for improvement on offense with coach playing Cozart. I don’t look for improvement from him and don’t see how his play helps the team going forward. I’ll watch the offensive line play and rotation for improvement. It sure would help if they would block and open running lanes for the backs. Most of my optimisim from these games is on defense. Our young defensive backs are playing well and learning every game. The defensive line is competitive. Despite injuries, the linebackers are hanging tough. Maybe an improving defense is all we will see this year. RCJH

@stoptheflop None of the active QB’s are going to be anything good for KU this year. David Beaty’s future is tied to the success of Tyriek Starks and at this point, and it makes absolutely no sense to burn his redshirt this season. Beaty does need to land either a JuCo QB or graduate transfer to be a one year stop gap or competent back up in case Starks isn’t ready next year. I don’t mean a graduate transfer like Crist or Heaps who were washouts from major programs, but a quality career back up from a successful program looking for an opportunity to play or someone coming up from the FCS ranks.
-
45-10 WVU. KU leads 10-7 after 1st quarter, down 17-10 at halftime, 38-10 after 3, WVU’s back ups score late to make it 45-10. I’m basically just picking the Vegas score which has KU at a 34 point underdog and I believe 54 1/2 for the O/U for total points.
-
Also protecting Starks from playing behind a line that is still two years away. No QB can succeed without protection. Unfortunately, line development isn’t an instant impact type thing like a WR or RB can be. It takes lots of time to develop, which means that KU has to wait for those guys to develop.
I agree that Starks is going to be a big time player, but Beaty has been wise to wait, and I hope he remains patient next year while his line catches up.
In 2018, the line should be able to protect and open running lanes, at which point you can unleash Starks and some weapons to help.
-
I predict partly cloudy with a high chance of disappointment.
-
The big question I have is will Bob Huggins attend the game as an alum supporting the football team and will he be wearing a man bra capable of giving him the support he needs?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 you and I see eye to eye on most topics.
-
That was a great goal line stand even if WVU did probably score on the 3rd down play. Too bad a safety is probably getting ready ready to happen.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Was thinking the same thing defense looks decent
-
@kjayhawks great goal Line stand!
-
Joke of a spot on that 4th down, he may have been short but only by a few inches, his legs were on top of someone.
-
This is where the flood gates open.
-
Going to watch kuvb at 8
-
Can we just try another qb? What’s the harm?
-
That FG attempt pretty much epitomizes Kansas football.
-
Dammit Martin, you ruined my final score prediction!
-
Why run a double pass in that situation?
-
Should stanley be our QB? I’ve heard rumors of Willis transferring. We fought hard in the second half and saved total embarrassment.
-
@kjayhawks At this point not sure where to turn. But why not let Stanley take more reps, what’s the worst that can happen? Look fairly decent tonight. There are just basics that aren’t there with the offense - -I mean we come out at the start of the game move the ball some and then where is the decipline ?- - 1st a hold on the O-Line - -Then a false start on O-line and all of a sudden your like 2nd and 25 then 3 and 23, when you struggle like we do you just can’t make those kinds of plays. I dunno ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@kjayhawks he might as well transfer, like d2
-
Cozart has concussion symptoms
-
@jayballer54 Yes I agree we left points off the board in the first half we made silly mistakes that shouldn’t happen this late in the season. I like the Defenses goal line stand, we haven’t seen that in awhile. We need to upgrade our linebackers they cant stop the run to save their lives, The secondary and Dline are decent. Another positive is we only turned it over twice lol.
-
@kjayhawks dineen back for 2 years, plus his brother
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Ya I think Joe has a good nose for the ball, he reminds me of Heeney but sometimes they over pursue because of this. I think we could miss Arnick, Shaw and Fish quite a bit next year.
-
@kjayhawks couple of frosh I never heard of tonight stepped up.
