@AsadZ Trump had nothing to with Balogun's red card being suspended. The process had already begun and it's really done is expose FIFA for not having a legitimate process to appeal red cards during the World Cup that they allow for pretty much other tournament they sanction.

All the good will we earned from around the world these last 2 weeks was wiped out by this atrocious turnaround. The world hates us now more than ever and only us in the United States will be rooting for us. Just sickens me.

@RockChalkinTexas-0 Actually, I'm still rooting for Cape Verde. I will be sending a note to Trump suggesting he get FIFA to make CV a wild card advancer.

Ugh. We may lose by 50 goals.
Not pretty so far. US guys running into each other. Giving the ball away. Not defending. Double ugh.

            Turn it around, boys!

We have not looked sharp at all.

No, we have not. Sadly they aren’t giving us much hope. They looked overmatched by a lot.

But, only down 1 goal. I was surprised we came out in the 3-5-2. That worked against Paraguay when we knew they were gonna bunker down and not attack. Not so much so far vs Belgium.

Junior high mistakes on defense cost us two goals. Belgium did have a nice finish on the 2nd goal but he ran right by our defender ignored goal side defensive principles and it cost us.

That was an embarrassing goal to give up by the GK.

US seemed unprepared for this game

We came out very tentative, slow and made many costly mistakes.

It could be the whole red card fiasco.

And yet another juvenile mistake. Belgium has won 24 world cup matches and lost 11 and 18 draws. We've got a 12-8-21 record. The experience at a level like this is showing.

We are being outplayed. They hustled and took the ball away from us so many times. Lazy passes.

                            yea, that was ugly.

Played like high school kids up against Argentina. Something wasn't right. They played scared and tentative. Basic errors as @wissox83 said.

Player ratings are gonna be ugly.

                            Generally an embarrassment today. sigh.

Oh, and way to go, Trump. A little motivation goes a long way 😞

After the final whistle blew, Belgium soccer's official X account published a post with an image of their players celebrating alongside a two-word caption: "Overturn this."

@rockchalkjayhawk Apparently they were doing the trump dance in the corner after the match. Pretty clear chip on their shoulder. Had Trump known anything about soccer he'd have kept his mouth shut because you don't give motivation to a favorite. It's like KU basketball giving Houston bulletin board material. WE could have had the chip on our shoulder because we were playing without Balogun.

Argentina facing its first deficit of the tournament against Egypt. Egyptian keep showing his quality

Is the fix in? @rockchalkintexas-0 may be right. Egypt scored their second goal which was disallowed because of a foul that had occurred at the other end of the pitch that was not called in the moment playing Argentina, but reversed by VAR.

They cannot take away that goal, though!! Either Egypt is really good in transition or Argentina defense is abysmal defending it. I am not as knowledgeable in soccer as some of you are, so I would be interested in what you think.
