@wissox I have agree with @cragarhawk assessment we donāt look good even in victory. On to Saturday can we pick up a road win against a team that has a conference win? I honestly donāt care about conference titles anymore. Just go undefeated at home and sweep the Mildcats.

The Halftime report mentioned how non-athletic KU is this year. I disagree. Sure, weāve had more athletic teamsā¦ but this team just isnāt hustling.

Hunter and Kev are playing through knee/leg injuries. Neither is 100%, Hunter might be like 70% based on how he moved last night.
Gotta find a way to start winning those 50/50 balls which we are not doing consistently.

Would be really nice if Zuby or Udeh wouldāve stuck around for depth, Parker is too small. When Parker is the 5 it doesnāt look like anyone is over 6ā6ā on the court. (No way Furphy is 6ā9ā).

Funny that you call it a rebound game. Rebounding was the main issue vs. WVU. KU got outrebounded by a lot. Again. Still, Furphy ends up with a career high 11 boards.

I think this is on target. I didnāt watch the whole game but seemed to me when the whole team would play with energy and effort, weād get out to a bit of a lead, then they either got tired or lost focus and would let them back in. You can literally tell every possession on D whether it will be a good one or a bad one based on how hard everyone tries on the first ball screen.
This is the most wildly inconsistent team I can remember. Game to game, even possession to possession. You just NEVER know what you are going to get.

Iām so scared for the KSU games because you know they will at least bring energy and it doesnāt seem like we can consistently count on that from our hawks this year.

@benshawks08 for sure, not a positive outlook right now. Furphy is gonna need someone else to get after the ball like he has been. I love to be a fly on the wall in the film room today hopefully some guys get called out for their lack of effort and energy. The old saying goes āHard work beats talent, when talent doesnāt work hardā. This team doesnāt have the talent to go out and just go thru the motions. I think thatās pretty evident at this point in time.
