Oh. I read your post as only taking 2 guys and if MJ stays only taking 1. If we are assuming KCJ is leaving we have room for 3 regardless of MJ.

Yeah taking 3-4 guys. Whether or not we add 2 wings depends on MJ since we view him as a wing not a guard.

Unsure about Cuffe. (Guard)

With the lost scholarship, that leaves room for 3 transfers for sure. 4 if Cuffe also goes.

In all seriousness, mcd’s class had some crazy athletes but after seeing this year 22-23 year old men win the tourney I think a mix of 4 returnees, 4 frosh and 4 transfers is solid. I’d take the older senior who tests the nba and comes back for 1 year over the 18 year old mcd

@kuballin10 My concern is that is a lot of NEW on the floor for us next year. That’s the biggest reason I keep thinking KJ will play the 4 some if not a lot. It’s the only way to get 3 players with Bill Self experience on the floor at the same time.
Yes, Remy was new and made a huge impact, but none of that came until March. Kev and Gradey made big contributions as newbies this year but I think we can all agree Gradey is SPECIAL and Kevin was basically the best possible fit for a Bill Self transfer anyone could imagine. Will be interesting to see if any of the newbies have the constitution to be the type of player you have to be to get on the floor for a Self coached team. I think the 4 returnees will all play a major role. Hoping Elmarko is also SPECIAL. Not sure any transfer out there will FIT like Kevin did but hopefully they can grow into contributors by the end of the year. Could be a rough start to the season…

I get the concern about how many newbies we’ll have. Still returning the same amount of starters at least but a lot less filler in the reserve pile. The main difference this year will be bringing in 4 transfers but needing all of them to be difference makers and rotation pieces. I think we can safely shoe-in Elmarko for a major role like Gradey was able to carve out. The other 3 will probably be like Rice/Udeh/Zuby- hopefully one emerges as the season goes on.
While concerned, I’m more excited about what the roster will look like after this mania is over. He’s got all the playing time available he needs to reload the roster up

I’m in favor of kids having 1 free transfer not sure on 2-3. When a coach switches jobs they stick it out a few years but have that immediate switch and coach ability.
Glad players do now as well
Nova kid actually gonna enter the portal? He’d be a stud. Almost wish we leave 2 spots open for these nba test guys in case they come back well after like Remy

ya NEVER bought in - -you could see just a mistake- - but it’s taken care of now - -. ain’t mad at the kid , it is what it is. I still believe he can become a quality player in the right setting

I guess I’m kinda on the fence even if it did have some substance. - - - I mean - -GREAT DEFENDER. - pretty decent rebounder , BUT really out side game kind of inconsistent - -3 pt % - not good. - Guess wondering if the positives would outweigh the negatives IF he was to return. -If he did come back I would 100 % have no problem. Elmarko who will be a stud @Jethro - just making sure you see this I’m fully on the Elmarko train! He will be off the bench which is crazy our bench should be legit with Udeh, KJ, Elmarko ect.
