I love that pick n roll lob/dunk by Dave and Harris to start the second half. That’s the iconic play of the game, IMO.
I’m under the Weaver’s Awning in that Mass Street shot.
I didn’t really get any good photos

Of all the pictures of the Championship game, this is my favorite!

I notice that they are holding up 2 fingers, yet in the group picture on the plane, they’re holding up 1 finger. Hmm. Are Braun and Juando trying to tell us something?
-
@bskeet With apologies to the opinion that the alley oop was the play of the game, I thought this one was to be honest.
Seeing the Jalen Wilson pic reminds me of a chart I saw on twitter of KU dunks this season. JWill had 1 dunk all season. Strange. Apparently our dunks were much higher in number than in past years.
-
124 Dunks on the year, almost triple the amount in the previous year. 2018 team has the most (214) fueld mostly by Doke
-
JWill is close to a non-athlete at this level. For a normal person he is pretty athletic of course. It’s the main thing that prevented him from being drafted.
-
Kansas finished this season with 124 dunks. Here is the breakdown by player:
Ochai, 37 David, 32 # of missed dunks ??? Christian, 27 Mitch, 15 KJ, 7 Juan, 3 Jalen, 1 Remy, 1 Joe, 1
-
In 2018 Doke had 2 less dunks then this squad had as a team.
-
@BeddieKU23 Wow!
-
@BeddieKU23 LaGerald Vick was one of my favorite dunkers from that era. Really amazing high flyer.
-
I still shake my head at how his career here ended. He was a heck of a player when locked in
-
That Remy block was incredible. I finally watched the game again over the weekend and I’d swear Remy jumped even before Caleb Love went up for the shot like he fully anticipated when Love was going to make his move. His prescient timing was a thing of beauty and a key play in securing the victory.
-
@tis4tim Funny thing is I looked at the picture @bskeet placed in this post of the block and just assumed it was Dave blocking someone early in the game. Then I looked again and thought wow, that’s Remy. I think the refs did a good job showing restraint and not whistling it there. Not saying at all that he fouled him but I’m sure Michigan fans still have nightmares of Burke blocking a fast break for Louisville in the waning minutes and getting whistled for it. That’s when I turned that game off as I figured Michigan had no chance if they were going to favor sleazy Rick Patino over classy John Beilein.

I’m really going to miss Remy next year. Big Personality. Gee, I feel like we were just getting to know him.

Wish I could find a hi-res version of this… the game winner.

Man Remy & David hit such HUGE buckets late in this game - -just ice in the veins . - I could watch things like this over & over &over
-
When the game was being decided in the last 3 minutes, I keep going back to Remy’s block as the most critical play. Championship Remy as I will always think about him was a blur making the block. Our players still had defensive energy during those 3 minutes, while NC players were exhausted and were realizing they couldn’t finish with the win.
