@KirkIsMyHinrich doesn’t fit the culture. I don’t think he’s a bad kid or anything, just immature right now.
-
The positive of this is that KU is turning heads in state. LL is going to be the worst thing to ever happen to KSU football if he’s here for a decent stretch.
-
@FarmerJayhawk from derby?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 that’s the one
-
@FarmerJayhawk first ksu, then Notre Dame, now? His dad was so excited for his alma mater ksu.
-
Logan is a huge pickup. If anyone can tap into that potential, it’s Fuchs. The back room guys did a ton of work on his background and apparently was good to go. 2 years to play 2. Now he is just a verbal and could decommit any time between now and when classes start in January, but he’s the type who wanted to get his recruitment done and over with. Hence the radio silence around the whole thing.
-
Former 4* WR Markus Allen will visit for the Texas game. Wiscy transfer, would have 3 to play at KU.
Also a few JuCo kids coming. An OL, DE, and CB.

Well let’s be a god host. - -Full Stadium , put on a good performance , let them feel the atmosphere , scenery -show them how nice it would be to be here
-
Farmer I need your help/varification if you can. - -Read that KU had got the # 1 portal transfer to the class. - -Logan Brown a 6’6 - -315 pound OL from Wisconsin. -Have you heard anything about this ? – Got from TOS - how credited is this - -very nice obviously if true
-
Guys got two questions .One is , isn’t Spencer Rattler - - Didn’t he use to play for Oklahoma the QB ? - -& 2nd if I’m not mistaking and very easily could be but If I’m not mistaking I think we have played TCU the closest anyone has played them this year right ? - 38- - - -31

We’re at best TCU’s third closest game. Last week, they kicked a game winning FG as time expired down 2 to win by 1 against Baylor and they went to double OT against OSU after erasing a 14 point 4th quarter deficit.

ya true. Absent minded Still played them really well. - - They just hammering Iowa State 55-7 in the 3rd quarter
-
@jayballer67 yessir, he committed maybe a month or so ago? Big kid with a lot of talent. Just didn’t put it together at Wiscy. Fuchs has a lot to work with there. Wouldn’t surprise me if he slotted right in there for Bostick.

I think I like the sounds of that. - -really good size -thin it was 6’6 & 315 might not hurt to put on a few pounds possibly
-
I don’t have names down totally solid yet, but portal interest in KU is very, very high. We have a very appealing combo of available PT, NIL opportunities, and program stability.

That’s really good to hear, hopefully we can pull a couple of good players from the poral. I really like how we coming around. Lance has done a great job with these guys and thing is we got a lot of them coming back - -probably a couple of Super Seniors
You know there are some people talking about how KU backed into our bowl game , saying we went 1-5 - -and really didn’t deserve a bowl game. These were mostly K/State idiots talking to which I have to say this : KU team played who was put on the field in front of them. - - They have no control of who steps on the field - -they have no control of who’s injured with the opposing team - - they have no control if another opposing player is sick. - -All they have control of is themselves , how they play which has been as a very competitive every single game keeping a persons interest except the Texas game. - -This team is closing the gap and I think other teams are becoming a wear - or they BETTER BE. - I am happy with we are at at this point- -think we are actually even a little ahead of schedule so far. - - ROCK CHALK
-
@FarmerJayhawk I think we still have some residual “cool” factor right now too. Hopefully the staff has some of the transfers working their connections. I’d take another Ohio State backup or two…
-
We lost to tcu by less than ksu
-
@Crimsonorblue22 foreshadowing?
-
@bskeet all I got🥴
-
Couple of things here . One is a question & one view opinion.- -Question is guys , do we start playing our new members this up coming season 2023? - you know Cincinnati - - Houston - - Central Florida - BYU ? -If we do , do we know which one of these schools is on KU’S schedule or are they ALL gonna be on the schedule for KU ? - -Do we know our opponents yet ?
Then the other ,my view/opinion , I think this portal is gonna be a huge portal in football this season. Already some big time names - - Think Alabama WR - - Tulsa QB suppose to draw major attention , other big time draws in there, - -We have some pretty major players coming for visits. Gonna be something to really keep our eye on this Season , we know Lance has done really well
I guess another question I might have is - who does this help or hurt the most , the portal. - -Does the portal hurt the High Schools recruits more ? - -Are Colleges going to lean on the portal a lot more cause they have the College ball experience ? - -Or does Coach’s continue to lean more on High School players and develop - - -OR the portal ?
-
RB Johnny Thompson is on board. He’s not the only one either
-
Any updates on Hishaw? Did they amputate?

from what I read he was one of the top running backs in California - is that the one your taking about ? - -If so he was visiting this weekend , he commit while he is here ?
-
@FarmerJayhawk More HS guys? Loooove getting the Cali RB.

@BShark I believe they’ll land one more HS kid, yes. May take a day or so to come out
-
With , this commit & Red Martel backfield in good shape. - - It is good add because I think Thomas portal out
-
@Jethro Yes

I think we add a couple of Juco’s yet for 23 too
-
@jayballer67 absolutely. I think we made a strong impression on a corner and a tackle.
-
Also, Malik Berry is one to watch for a PWO opportunity. Former Free State QB, now a DE/OLB at Butler. Think he’s immediate depth at special teams and maybe can get on the field as a situational pass rusher.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Was thinking Kema could be a likely one from what Swain was posting.
-
@BShark wouldn’t surprise me at all. We may not get him for awhile because of his LDS mission but he’s a really good player
-

that’s sounds really good to me buddy. I think we can use all the DL line we can get, we need to shore up the run defense - which I do see some progress , just think we need more. - let the good news keep coming.
Little side note our QB Weisman coming in - -just looks like he is really invested trying to recruit for us too lol - - always like that -

Isn’t he one we offered an PWO on earlier , but he looked a round a bit more ?

Isn’t that the kid from Hawaii ? - - speaking of Hawaii , see where we scheduled a home and home with then in 2028 & 2032
-
@jayballer67 we’re in on a couple JuCo DE’s too, one from Hutch. Yeah we offered him one last year and he thought he’d get more offers, and they never came. So we might be his best option if he wants to play D1

that would be great -get that DL depth - - - tougher
-
I don’t follow KU football recruiting at all but I just saw on twitter about a “talented RB” committing to KU, Johnny Thompson is his name.

Got heeeeem. Also thankful there are no unexpected transfers so far. Just the guys we already knew about: McBride, Potter, White, etc
-
@FarmerJayhawk when are you coming to Kansas?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I’ll be back for a bit in the spring to house hunt if I haven’t found a rental, then moving back permanently in August

Farmer with what we got coming into our RB stable , do you look posssibly -myself I think quite possibly , but do you think Thomas hits the portal again? - just didn’t see the field alot. - -Also with the talent of the two we got coming in just think he might get buried. Things I’ve heard about RED might be pushing for the # 2- -then you got Morrison - - Then Thompson and Thomas battling. I just think Thomas might be on his way out - what’s you projection for him ? - -Stay or Go ?
-
@jayballer67 I’m pretty sure either Ky or (more likely) Sevion transfers. Both came in thinking they’d compete for RB1 and then Hishaw beasted. Ky had health issues all year so my guess is he sticks it out. A place like Tulsa would be great for Morrison
-
Sooooo there’s some chatter around flipping Calvin Clements
