Not good passing either. Ball sticks. Lots of dribble drives. It’s like we are in between two different systems. Like when Self took over for Williams.
like I heard an announcer say today with Baylor - - Meyer for them at times loves to give the Basketball a headache - - translation dribbling the ball to much lol

Dribble drives is ok if that is the system. But we don’t seem to run offense that really is optimized for that.
We just don’t seem to have an identity.

The drive and get fouled instead of kicking then brick 1 of 2 at the line strategy isn’t working.

this is almost approaching same scenario that we had against TCU some years back where Topeka YMCA could beat us

The effort stat is rebounds – 32 -15. 8 Tenn players have as many or more rebounds than our big guy…

Tennessee is good. We aren’t losing to a crap team. So thats good.

I don’t think talent is that disparate. I really feel like the system (if there is one we are running) is not fit for the talent.

Well. This isn’t good. At least we have a Hall of Fame coach and 3 stud 6’8 guys coming in next year. Chalk this season up to bizarro pandemicland and bad personnel and chances are most likely we are a top 10 team next year.

Talent is still the same as the decent team of the first 9 games or so this year, so I’m hoping we can figure something out and salvage the season.

the guys have just gotten to the point they have zero confidence their shot is going in, Braun has really fallen off Wilson just well - - Abaji 1-9 tonight.
Gonna be interesting Tuesday and if we win you really can’t put a lot into that even seeing how it’s K-State. - -bu t got to just take anything. Thank GOD it’s at the Phog cause right now the way this team is playing would be willing to bet if we played in Manhattan - good chance we get beat

Yeah, we need Braun Wilson and Ochai to end the season high on their shots, and we need to know if Harris and Dave are starters or not.

It’s not. We’re not a good shooting team. The strength of this offense is driving, but we don’t run sets designed to open up driving lanes.

One common thing with the way we have been going - -we dig ourselves such a huge hole from the get go - - just adds that much more pressure trying to come back. get’s to the point the guys get to thinking and it’s true you have to almost make every shot to crawl back and opposition has to miss makes it really hard

DeJuan Harris has to learn how to play defense. He commits way too many fouls because he plays defense with his hands instead of his feet.

Our “runs” are like 3 or 4 buckets over a 5 minute stretch. But, even then, we’ve given up 6 or 7…
