Ladies And Gentlemen…
The time has come. Once again, we are at the start of another great year of Kansas basketball!
I’m proud to be a Jayhawk and proud to be associated with such a great group of knowledgeable KUBuckets Jayhawk fans!

Looks like you need to photoshop 2 more “Back To” signs to catch up to where we will be after another successful conference season!
I hope we can add in some NCAA Tournament images later, too!
Rock Chalk!

I KEEP GOING BACK TO THIS LOL!

It’s kind of funny to live in Louisiana, right near LSU, and compare LSU football with KU basketball. I’m not a snob. LSU football is every bit as big as KU basketball. But I had an argument if you will, with an LSU supporter about that very question. He told me point blank that LSU football is bigger than KU basketball. He couldn’t accept that it was much more a side by side comparison where neither is bigger. He said the whole state follows LSU football, I said the entire state of Kansas follows KU hoops. He said they’ve got tradition, I filled him in on our storied history. He started talking about championships, again, everything he brought up I said it compares. These videos confirm what we know, there’s few places in America that compare with KU basketball and I’m blessed to have been a part of it, as I’m blessed to see LSU football, which I think ranks below KU hoops of course!!

@wissoxfan83 politically correct! Rock Chalk!

@wissoxfan83
I think your story is a big reason why Late Night is such a good recruiting tool for Kansas. It’s held in the best venue in D1. Recruits paying a visit get an idea of how important Kansas basketball is to not only Kansas residents, but far beyond.

ONLY IN LOUSIANA.
LSU football can’t begin to rub shoulders with KU Basketball. For one thing, they’re not tall enough. Besides that, LSU has been good, off and on for a few years. KU B-Ball has been good since the beginning of time. Don’t try to sway me with facts, figures or Cajun food - they aren’t as good.
-
@nuleafjhawk Well, I do try to not appear as a KU snob, so I’m happy to refer them as equals, even though they’re not!
I will try to sway you with Cajun food, and there, well there’s no comparison, right @brooksmd ?
-
@wissoxfan83 I’m in on that!!
-
@wissoxfan83 Being from Louisiana originally myself and also an LSU football fan (behind KU and Oklahoma where my dad went), LSU absolutely has one of the most classless fan bases in football. I know that when it comes to issues outside of LSU, they’re absolutely one of the nicest most generous groups of people in the country. Get some alcohol in them though, and they turn violent and antagonistic towards opposing fans.
I’m not gonna lie though, I straight up would’ve pissed that dude off and told him KU basketball is vetter than LSU football. KU basketball is top 3 program all time whereas LSU hasn’t become a powerhouse program until the past 15 years with Saban and Miles. Before Saban, they would have the occasional great year, but never followed it up with another great year. In football, you have 6 programs on the Mt. Rushmore of all time greatest programs with Alabama, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio St., and USC on there. LSU would probably be on the 2nd or 3rd tier of all time programs in CFB.

@wissoxfan83
Who is this LSU you speak of?

@DoubleDD LIVERPOOL STUDENTS UNION

Absolutely. You can have that bland midwest meat n taters stuff.
-
@brooksmd bring it! sounds good!
-
This article and map suggests that your LSU fan needs to consider how they stack up against Oregon, Texas, Nebraska, Florida, Wisconsin and even NotreDame in terms of breadth of a fanbase.

@brooksmd (pssssst! I lived in Houston for nine years and made MANY trips to N’awlins. I LOVES me some cajun food. I was throwing that out there in hopes he’d take me up on it…)
-
We all know that, but it would be pretty pointless for me to try to argue with a co-worker that KU is better, don’t you think, even though he was trying to argue LSU was better.
-
@brooksmd I’m in Chicago right now, laughing at my Cub fan friends and going to enjoy some of that bland mid west food you talk of!
-
I love Cajun food as much as anyone… but the last time I looked on a map, Louisiana STILL resides in the “grits and gravy” belt. Sometimes made me feel like the real spicy food was something mainly sold to tourists. I could be wrong, definitely won’t be the first time (or the last)!
-
@drgnslayr Yep, we eat a bucket of grits down here. Next time you make it to da bayou try some shrimp and grits. And yeah yur wrong. Got about 2 dozen types of hot sauce here at the house to warm yur tummy.
-
@wissoxfan83 At least the Cubbies made it to post season. How’d the ChiSox do?
-
@Statmachine Seriously, that video gets me so freeking amped!!! I could just turn into the Incredible Hulk and go Ape $#%^
Im speaking about the AFH best home court advantage in all sports.
Cant. Wait. For.This. Season.
-
@nuleafjhawk road trip!
-
I’d love to take you up on that!
I’ll bring my fermented pepper mole with me and we’ll pound shrimp!
-
@brooksmd I"m still basking on 2005 glory, as well as 2008 glory for that matter!
