Best defender in the country. He can legit guard 1-5

Chinyelu from Florida is another strong contender, can guard 1-5 as well and saw a recent clip of him doing what Flory does. However, Flory's ability to protect the rim is far superior.

His staying out of foul trouble has been huge. And did y’all hear his comments about Self hugging him in the post game last night? He’s pretty funny! And seems like a really good person. This team is special.

When Micheal Jordan scored 69 points, I knew I’d always remember it as the night me and Micheal combined for 70 points — Stacey King, Former Bulls Player

He’s been awesome. My one minor critique is he goes for the block marginally too often and misses some defensive boards but that’s picking nits.

To my eye, he's improving/adjusting the way he is blocking and keeping the ball in play (giving teammates a chance to recover) rather than swatting it out of bounds. Anyone know if they keep stats on blocks out of bounds vs blocks that stay in?

I'm just as glad to see Flory staying out of serious foul trouble early in games. Can't block shots from the bench

Happy to see Flory not swatting stuff out of bounds recently. I think he's realized it's more humiliating to an opponent to spike it to himself or a teammate. Really made a difference as far as stops go. He's been brilliant... kind of starts slow, but he sort of gets a feel for the how the game's being called before unleashing the full Flory.

Edited to add... Flory and Council down the stretch are unstoppable. They have an extra tank of energy or something. So fun to watch.

Back to beast mode defensively against Houston.

@BShark agree. +17 with only 4 points is amazing

This is a very good team most of the time. Occasionally they may you shake your head (i.e. Saturday) and occasionally they make you religious (i.e. Monday).

Flory has been the most consistent energy for the team and (a little credit to Fran here) is likely the B12 defensive player of the year. I knew he would improve year over year, but his growth has been remarkable.

I'm very happy for him because it now seems obvious he made the right call for himself and the team by staying.

So glad to see Flory coming on strong! I just hope he comes back for one more year... because with him next year, we will surely be picked to win it all!

I smell a run! (better buy more toilet paper)
