Just under their season average of 47% shots from 3. They live and die by it. We got so lucky Anderson didn't play. His 20 and 8 was the difference for them.

Attempting only 53 shots to Tech's 72 is very concerning. But, we were able to somewhat negate it by getting to the line more than they did.
Tech's a good offensive rebounding team and they shoot a ton of 3's on average. KU's not a great rebounding team but did great when it mattered. They are also not a good offensive rebounding team, so we limit our possessions not making it a priority.

KU up to #12 overall on Kenpom. What a rise the last 3 weeks. Offense keeps going up and down between the 30's, mid 20's back to 33 currently. Defense has consistently been in the Top 15 all season long (trending back up to #8) as of today. If the same level of play continues those numbers will continue to improve based on where they rank in games since conference play started.

Lots to love about the grit we displayed yesterday. We've come back from double digits a few times now this year (dare I say shades of 2022??) and the way Council energizies this team when we need it really reminds me of Christian Braun. It's becoming clear that we possess the intangibles needed for a run in March.

Some say there are NO coincidences but I watched the replay of our KU at Baylor game with Dok, CB, Dot, Och and Marcus and we beat Baylor that night by the same score: 64-61! Rock Chalk

Just some FYI things you all may know or may not know --- -1st : Did anyone else see that Darryn's facial on those two -possible three TT players earned him the # 1 spot on ESPN's top ten the next day on ESPN ?
2. KU now has the most QUAD ONE WINS in the Nation
3 KU is ranked 8th by KenPom Defensively & has the 33rd /offensively

Like I said earlier, we may not have hype of Arizona or Michigan right now but ain’t no one gonna be happy to see us in their bracket come selection Sunday as long as we are healthy.

Jackson is questionable for Saturday. Missed practice yesterday and limited today. Need him Monday more then Saturday

@ROCKCHALK2025 I would be interesting in knowing a couple of things. What is our offense rated in games with Darryn Peterson? And what is our defense ranked if we discard the TCU, UCF, and WVU games. I am not saying we deserve to have our ratings boosted via cherry picking of stats, just that I would be interested in knowing.

@kjayhawks2.0 Yeah health is this team's only major weakness lol. That and would like a more consistent bench, but both Mari and Elmarko have shown they can make an impact at times.
