@dylans I think Caleb Williams hired him actually from what it appears.
-
@wissox He was the hottest offensive coordinator option. I believe he will help Caleb immensely. How he manages the rest of the team? His coordinator hires will be telling.
-
To elaborate a bit. Both risky and smart to not go the retread route. McCarthy isn’t winning in the playoffs. Carol is good, but a pretty short term option. Other known options were less appealing. I’d say it was a good hire.
-
Kelce went out and bought a 3.3 million dollar house to help for homeless kids have a place to stay - - this coming off his 46 million contract extension --Some people DO STILL CARE Thank you Travis
-
@SlimShaddy54 if he really cared, he’d buy ME a 3.3 million dollar house. Somewhere warm
Jk - that’s great
-
@nuleafjhawk ya I wish someone could or would do that for me also lol. Yes it’s good to see we as a people some anyways do still have some compassion

I’m stoked! Dennis Allen as DC is a really smart play as well. He flamed out as a HC but is a really good coordinator.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Yeah, I think we can start to dream of better days.
-
TD KC!
-
Eat up the clock, TD KC ️
-
I feel like the chiefs should be up much more here two dropped picks and the bills fumbled twice with no turnovers. Go get 7 to start the half
-
Tough loss. 0-1 what’s next?
-
That was an amazing play by Cook there

If you can see the future, please speak up sooner so I can secure my future with a few wagers
-
It may just be the bills night 5 fumbles zero lost
-
Mahomes running today, let’s go defense
-
What a run QB!️🫶
-
Bills and Chiefs playoff game are all great

Making fun of Tang
-
It might not be the Bills night! Wahoo! Never give up on the Chiefs!️🫶
-
Super Bowl!
-
Defense wasn’t great today by any stretch but they made a few key stops when they had too. Barkley is gonna be a tough match up but gonna have a chance for a 3-peat. At least we have the chiefs here in Jayhawk land
-
I really like Josh Allen. His only real flaw is being born at the wrong time. Mahomes is robbing his legacy. I’m ok with it, just sayin’
-
@dylans That throw that he made at the end…I thought he was just throwing it up. He put it on the money, the guy just dropped it.
-
I think the bills will want that one back when they watch the film. Cook was phenomenal averaging 6.5 yards per carry and 2 touchdowns. One was all effort on his part. I think they tried to force the ball throwing and were lucky Allen didn’t have at least 2 picks. I think the defense letting up 29 and the Eagles scoring 55 will have them laser focus before the big game. Andy Reid maybe cement his place as one of if not the best coach in NFL history if they can get one more in a few weeks.
-
@MoonwalkMafia Two bad ass teams dueling it out. Fun game.

There are so many great QBs right now IMO. Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Jackson, Goff and Daniels is looking pretty dang good. I just hate the Allen to Mahomes comparison. Allen has zero MVPs, All Pros and SB victories. The comparison should be dead until Josh gets something going in the post season. As I said above he was very fortunate today he didn’t have 2 picks and 2 lost fumbles.
-
@kjayhawks - MVP will likely be either Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson this year.
Josh has been knocked out of the playoffs 4 times by Mahomes in his 6 years. That’s a pretty strong C Block. Once by Brady too - not too shabby. Allen may break thru or he may not, but he is a very good quarterback. - I’d take him over anyone not named Mahomes currently (but Jayden Daniels is rapidly growing on me).

IMO Barkley should be the MVP with how he has played in the postseason. It’s basically turning into whomever the AP thinks has the best year at QB. Which if you go off of number it’s Burrow over Jackson and Allen

4 of his last 5 playoff losses being to KC is insane. You can tell it’s effected him too. Looked dejected on the sideline.

GOFF??? I think he’s much more of a purgatory QB than a great.
-
@BShark haha probably right but he had a good year lol
-
I will never be able to prove it, but I believe that Josh Allen could have and would have taken down Tom Brady in the playoffs multiple times and won multiple super bowls had their careers overlapped more.
-
@kjayhawks No one will agree with me on this but they really should make three different, equally prestigious MVP awards: one for a QB, one for a non-QB offensive player, and one for a defensive player.
An elite QB will always make the most positive impact of a single player. Having the third or 4th best QB is a way better asset than having the best RB in the league. So it makes sense that the best QB deserves MVP. But also, the best non QB offensive player or the best defensive player deserve credit, especially in cases where they might be better at their job than any QB in the league, even if their job isn’t as important as the job of a QB.
-
Josh Allen had a fantastic year and should get MVP.

They already have this - MVP - (best player almost always QB), Offensive Player of the Year (usually best non QB offensive player - Barkley)- , and Defensive Player of the Year (best defensive player). Generally no one cares outside of MVP and Super Bowl MVP though.
-
@dylans Yeah but they are not equally prestigious. Plus they sometimes give mvp to a non-qb. Plus they once gave opoy to Drew Brees.

I disagree a little bit with your logic of QBs and RBs. I think the eagles this season are the prime example. Hurts is a top 10 QB in this league arguably top 5. Barkley is the best running back this season no question. They have ridden his coattails to the SB they ain’t getting there with an average running back. NFL defenses have changed the last few seasons to where they have shifted focus to stop the passing game. I feel like that’s part of the reason Barkley has been great. The league is always flowing back and forth. I feel like every decade it goes to RBs are not important at all and then everyone runs a Tampa 2 style of defense shuts down the passing. Then running backs are important again the next decade, the cycle just goes back and forth. The only eagles player that worries me is Barkley.
-
@Jhawk69 They are all just participation awards. The winners of the last game get to take the real trophy home.
-
@kjayhawks Some validity to this but not completely sold
Jalen literally made the Super Bowl without saquon at rb. Saquon has been ridiculous this year but if they have a decent rb I still think they make it.
Go through the Super Bowl champs and check out those rb names
I agree the position is coming back because of the defensive tendencies like you stated so there is some validity but unless you have Saquon or Gibbs it doesn’t change much.
Give me a top qb and a defense all day over an above average qb and the best rb
We’ve seen the Niners with Mccaffrey and plenty of other examples
All that to say I think the eagles win 34-21
Their d line is gonna eat, their secondary with the Iowa product is legit and there is no way that we slow down saquon without Jalen hurting us. If James cook can carve the D up and mixon before him…. Barkley gonna destroy us on the ground
-
@Jhawk69 Man if you deep dive Tom’s career it isn’t goat like
Winning super bowls scoring 13 points
Defense saving him against the Seahawks
Has multiple turnovers and wins playoff games (because of his defense)
If you watched him play he wasn’t the best qb
-
@kuballin10 I didn’t really watch NFL football until around 2010 so I can’t comment on Brady’s entire career. But my take has always been that he is a very good QB but not necessarily better than other greats who have fewer super bowls. For instance, I would argue that Drew Brees is as good as TB if not a little better, but that TB with an elite defense is obviously going to get better results than Brees with a bad defense.
-
The GOAT debate is such a tough one with how much sports have changed over the years. I’m fine for Tom to be considered the GOAT at this point. The stars all had to align first him to do so. The AFC East was such a crap division for so long. The jets haven’t been relevant in my live time, the Dolphins and Bills are good teams now but took a long break after Jim Kelly and Dan Marino respectively retired. He had one of if not the best defenses in the nfl for most of his years as a starter. The last 2 super wins his defense only allowed a combined 12 points and just about every starter QB that season could’ve won it for them. His passing records are a little inflated because he played much longer. I believe he has like 38 more starts than anyone else in the top 5. Much like LeBrons scoring record. Congrats you played several seasons longer. To be the goat IMO you have to do something that’s never been done before in a relative timeframe and/or change the game. Hence LeBron will never be my goat.
