Oh yea. Forgot about that. No one will replace Clingan. They are losing a ton. I’m interested to see how they do this year.

Watch he will be a savant there on d. Just watch lol
Will be very interesting. Brea and Liam don’t exactly “slide”.
-
Kadari Richmond. Why not???
-
Makes sense, the efficiency numbers are off the charts and he will be facing a new level of athletes. He’s going to be a good shooter but yeah I don’t think your expecting 49% next year at that volume again.

Swain has mentioned an unnamed player could be in play for the 13th spot. He can’t share it yet but it also may be the name in the other thread. It’s not a “flashy name” but “could help down the line”. Stay tuned.
KU is working to figure out the Kugel situation. Both sides want him here.
They will look for another wing if no Kugel. Will be really hard to find anyone as good as Kugel tho

Always read Transfer Rumblings.

Yep. Was just recapping for those not paying as close attention and it’s easy to lose the current pulse of things depending on the day
-
Miles Kelly from Georgia Tech in. Ideal wing.

If KU wasn’t loaded up, I’d say they should take a look there.
-
Thinking if Kugel can’t come in you try… good player
-
@BeddieKU23 Going to be very hard to find someone close to Kugel that will be okay with being the 7th guy I feel.
-
Pop-- Iasics ----from Texas Tech , Headed to Creighton – - guess Pops was hurt most of the year last yr but didn’t make public, was in some pain but played through it.- -just got through with surgery to repair something in the hip they had to shave down
-
Baye Fall to the kittens K State

Word is the problem with Kugel is KU isn’t accepting 2 of his classes he took at Florida, one would think that this could be remedied with a couple of summer school classes.
-
@CasterTroy His dad is the one saying that, and have you seen that guy? I’m not going to question him hahahaha.
-
Looks like he missed leg day
-
@BShark Kugel’s dad played football at Mizzou
-
Wow, hadn’t seen this , might be old news but I just saw kind of caught me off Guard. - Ol Coach Tang just took another hit lol. -Dau - -Dai Ames entered the portal. Surprising as he was one of their few bright spots towards the latter third of the Season. Worked his way in Starting role - -BUT he is now out.
-
New target- Jaxon Robinson from BYU. Some early interest on both sides. Will see where it goes
-
Reminder May 1st is the deadline for transfers to enter, both undergrad and graduate. Will see some trickling in after the deadline (just means they weren’t announced in quick fashion) but at least there’s a finality to the chaos there.
-
Coleman Hawkins is a fun player to watch and brings a ton of energy to the game and he’s just entered the portal. The experts here will tell us if he’s needed or not but I’d love to see him in a Jayhawk uniform.

@FarmerJayhawk what took him so long?
-
Portal over 2k entries. Portal Window is closed. Should see a few trickle in here and there. The only guys left will be those withdrawing from the NBA draft by end of month.
KU is still pursuing Jaxon Robinson & Jordan Ivy-Curry currently. Small committed to West Virginia so he wasn’t interested in winning. Still think we’ll push hard for a wing until they know on Kugel. The 13th spot could go to someone developmental or just a practice body.

Newly found video of the transfer portal in action.

Funny to see the differences. Evan Miya barely has Storr in the top 100.

Assuming Miya’s are more analytically driven?

Yeah, but man some of it does not make sense.

I’d be shocked if Louisville or Missouri are any good next year.

Hearing that Ku has made contact with Wooga Poplar - -from Miami. - - saying more or less if which its happening Furphy not Coming back , and the possibility of Kugel not showing up --Wooga might be talking to with those two Scholi’s of being open
-
Swain hasn’t mentioned that as of now. Don’t think we can land someone like him. He was a starter at Miami and is most likely looking for a starting spot somewhere.

ya , can’t remember where I seen that , but it was mentioned that KU had contacted him. Not sure if it was more of just a hey , or if they were like we have a Scholi

Nova/KY for Mista Poplar I think.
-
Nova makes a lot of sense but I wouldn’t want to play for that coach. Shocked they haven’t tried to upgrade
-
I’m not sure what thread this should be in, perhaps a Cal-specific thread. I was sickened by it so of course wanted to share my nausea with all of you. From ESPN: ““You may think I’m crazy, but I told my staff I only want to have eight or nine guys,” Calipari told Robinson, who is now executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. "They’re leaving anyway, and why would I develop a kid for someone else? Why would I do that?””

Arkansas and St Johns in there as well now. Kid will be getting paid.
-
Something I’ve wondered about. So Calipari leaves for Arkansas and Arkansas fans automatically feel they are going to be these Big time contenders/players for the National Championship.
But you have this : - Calipari is same Coach as he was at Kentucky. He has quite a few of the same players that played for him while he was at Kentucky, now transfer to Arkansas So Arkansas now has the Same Coach that was at Kentucky and couldn’t gt squat done in the post Season and the same players that played for him at Kentucky that couldn’t get it done. - -Hmmm , what the hell am I missing ?
Was there some miracle that happened overnight, get some super power magic dust sprinkled over their heads since they moved to Arkansas? -Same Coach , Same players , Same result.
-
@jayballer67 What did Arkansas have before he arrived? Why shouldn’t they be excited about the upgrade? Change is exciting and full of possibilities. I have a hard time wanting to bash a fanbase that hasn’t had success since the early 90s for being excited about the top available coach coming there.
Cal can recruit. If he gets good assistant coaches (that can coach) they will do well. Only entitled fans like Kentucky, Duke, KU etc expect a title every year or bust. Some fan bases can enjoy winning the conference or even just having regular season success after such a long drought.

I hope Arkansas whips Kentucky this year. It would be hilarious.
-
@dylans Arkansas is a top 20 program all time by most metrics so this isn’t some scrub program that Cal is building from the ground up. 6 Final Four’s, the 1994 national title, two Elite 8’s in the past 4 seasons. They also have multiple billionaire donors who are heavily invested in the athletics department so Cal won’t be lacking for resources. Arkansas is a place you can win big at and I’d love see that become a regional rivalry for KU because their campus is only 4 hours from Lawrence.

If he didn’t get it done with these players at Kentucky , what makes you think just because it’s a different College the results will be any different, he couldn’t make it happen in Kentucky, he ain’t getting it done in Arkansas with the same players
-
Nobody saying Cal can’t recruit hell he has a top class every year or top five, BUT the guy can’t Coach that’s not fiction - -that’s FACT for the amount of talent the guy has had year after year after year and tell me again how any Championships has he won ?
It’s not going to just automatically change just because he is now at Arkansas- still can’t Coach, He didn’t do it at Memphis , couldn’t do it at Kentucky, regular Season wins isn’t what it;s about it’s the post Season.- - Admin - - Fan base don’t go out and say cool let’s see how many wins we can get in the regular Season.- It’s all about Post Season - let’s just win 6 - the last six that’s what it boils down too Championships.–Ya can Recruit - -yippee Why you think they wanted him out at Kentucky? - He left before they fired him
-
@jayballer67 One more championship than Arkansas has had in that time period. They should be excited.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Arky also won in 1993 when the president of the US was from there. …not fixed.
- wow Cal has a better resume in the last 15 years than Arkansas has for the last 30.

I’m not claiming that Arkansas is on the level that Kentucky is, just this isn’t Calipari taking over a historic bottom feeding program to rebuild the way Scott Drew had to at Baylor. Arkansas is generally considered a top 20 program all time and is accustomed to having a successful basketball program.

Aint got nothing against Arkansas and ya let them be excited just like EVERY OTHRE TEAM that’s what it’s all about. One more championship is a lot in a game of chance/crap shoot in Basketball. look at all the teams that NEVER get to that game. All I got to say with Calipari thee —Good luck lol

I loved it when Ole Roy Dadgummit turned Nolan Richardsons 40 minutes of hell against him and gave them hell for the last 20 minutes in the elite 16. Everyone was singing the hog kids praises and the announcers were eating it up as they raced up and down the court to a nice lead. But they got tired and we didn’t. Their large kid, Oliver Miller I think was his name, fell on the court and just laid there on his stomach not talking to anyone for what felt like 5 minutes. He wasn’t hurt, he was gassed and really not much of a high character guy either and so he lay there taking a nap.

So Kugel is interested in K ? State & Mississippi St now —OK
