TexTech Offense Numbers

LL should have run that last play. Incompletion is keeping Tech in it. Same mistake Andy made last game on 3rd and 1.
-
Tech is also kicking into the wind.
-
ball game
-
Damn
-
Geez
-
Pass interference on offense
-
We’re KU football we’ve seen this before.
-
Dam
-
Geeze. Hope we don’t get big brothered by KSU again. Would be a disappointing end to a nice season.
-
The problem was going to the 3 man rush and letting him just sit back there and find open guys. Have to put pressure on the QB…
-
Whelp. Let another one get away.
I don’t think OT was going to go well anyway, the way we were playing offense inside the 20.
-
4 times inside the TTU 10 yard line and come away with 6 points…

Before that last drive, Tech hadn’t done shit on offense the second half.
-
Coach Ks play calling was ungodly bad in the red zone. Some of that is situational with a 3rd string QB but has been bad all year.
-
I feel pretty good about Ballard. Tough kid.
-
We got bent over by the zebras too. Just an embarrassment for the league
-
I’m definitely worried about getting destroyed next week now.
-
Giving up points at the end of an unproductive first half was my biggest takeaway. Tough circumstances forces a 3rd stringer to come in who engineers a really nice drive and we just got to put points on the board.
-
Bean gets hurt, comes back in and they call the play for him again. Dumb! Then we play all these guys that don’t play and they can’t catch balls right in their hands! Not happy.
-
I don’t like prevent defense when a FG ties games. A prevent is meant to stop touchdowns, not keep teams out of FG range.
-
Did Daniels look uninterested to you? Not sure.
-
@kjayhawks if Bean is healthy we’ll be able to score on them. Defense really showed out today as well. But it is their entire season on the line
-
@FarmerJayhawk without Bean or Daniels Id predict 45-10 state
-
Idk much about football admittedly. But the offensive play calling in the red zone looked lackluster at best
-
@kjayhawks our defense is much better than that. If it’s Ballard I’d say closer to 27-20
-
@FarmerJayhawk I just want to beat them and win a bowl game at this point.
-
Can’t really bash Ballard. - He did what he could after being thrown in the fire, freshman walk on that interception not his fault. just the offense over all w had three drives over 70 yards in the 2nd half and only came up with 6 points. - - -not scoring in the red zone killer, No would it been different for us if Jason was in the ? - -Probably, would of scored at least on 1 of those three drives , but the kid tried - -defense played big 2nd half -I agree I fricken hate going into any kind of prevent defense. -why the hell don’t you just continue to play your regular defense instead of this crap ? – your just snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.
-
Crap. Uneducated watcher here…was TT any good?
-
@rockchalkjayhawk they aren’t bowl eligible even after beating us so no
-
@rockchalkjayhawk they’ve gotten a lot better lately as they’ve gotten healthy.
-
Such a weird feeling giving away games we would’ve been happy to be in over the last decade. Good to be 7-3 and making back to back bowls for only the second time ever. But man we completely crapped ourselves today and in Stillwater.
-
Coach said Beans injury was head.
-
Twitter or X rather is imploding asking if Beaty was on the sidelines. Sadly it looked it today
-
If it was Beaty we would’ve lost by 40. Team would’ve just quit after Bean went down
-
@FarmerJayhawk very true just a stupid way to lose a game. Hopefully the staff completely revamps the red zone offense and doesn’t run a prevent defense when the team needs just a FG. Several folks on ESPN called out the staff for such.
-
@kjayhawks yeah it definitely wasn’t their best day
-
OSU is getting hammered by UCF, weird season in this conference

If KSU comes out like they did against Baylor, then it could get ugly.

It’s crazy how far Baylor has fallen since they won the league. Like they’re horrific
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 @FarmerJayhawk Baylor hasn’t been good but yes I don’t get good vibes for us watching this game. We will know in a week either way.
-
@FarmerJayhawk them and tcu
-
Frustrated. So many injuries, dating back to TCU in 2021. KU can’t catch a break. Few teams have adequate QB depth, although KU’s 3rd string looked decent.
-
Meanwhile KSU plays with a rabbits foot up its ass. They have or will play backup QBs in almost every conference game. The starters played for noted powerhouses Houston and Baylor
-
I really give a lot of credit to Lance for what he’s done here. He’s made us have hope for KU football again.
But his penchant for trick plays is usually cool when it’s in the flow of a game, but twice now I think it has cost us by not giving us the best chance to win. I guess you can’t say we would have scored on the 3rd down that led to the tying FG but lining a freshman QB out at WR and running a wildcat on the weak side of the field was really not my idea of a great chance.
Many remember the end of the Arkansas game when he took the ball out of Daniels hands and we failed. Lance needs to finish these games strongly and he does a lot obviously but I don’t like these calls.
-
This loss is even bigger now with OSU getting absolutely demolished in Orlando today.
Also hate that Missouri is wrecking Tennessee today as well.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 osu is shocking me, no home cooking though!
-
@wissox we will always want more as fans, right or wrong. I just hate running 2 gadget plays in the red zone with a 3rd string QB. Just like bringing a cold Bean in to attempt a pass when JD was on fire in the bowl game. Sometimes the smartest coaches over think the simple plays. It just isn’t logical or intelligent anyway you slice it. I think we needed to run a bit more on that last series once we got inside the 30. Still glad he’s our coach and very happy with the progress he’s made. I personally think the speed option worked great today the few times we ran it. It’s the same thinking as their RB getting over 20 carries in the first half. We couldn’t stop it at that point so why stop?
-
@kjayhawks I agree entirely. I’m not sure why but most coaches have abandoned lining up in the I and just ramming it in on short yardage. Don’t get cute, it’s a simple game.
-
@FarmerJayhawk yes the chiefs struggle in short yardage for the same reason. Line up in the shotgun and hand it off 5 yards deep. Get under center, try the tush push or use a lead blocking full back. We know what we are doing isn’t working. “Doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting a different result, is insanity” -Albert Einstein
