That 4th down play was 100% on Bean, made a bad read and tried to pull it too late and basically ripped it out of Hishaw’s hands.

Congrats to Central Florida for their impending first B12 win against a real Big 12 opponent Baylor. BYU got their first win, but against a fellow interloper Cincy last night. By the way apparently Central Florida gets irked being called that so henceforth on these pages, although it’s easier to type UCF, they will be Central Florida.

Ya I feel like Texas is just trying to run up the score at point. They’re averaging like 9 yards a rush why pass the ball up 2 scores late?

I still don’t think KU wins even if Daniels plays because our defense still has a long ways to go after playing their first really good team this year. I still think best case scenario is probably 8 wins, but that’s with a healthy Daniels which is a question mark. With Bean, getting to another bowl game will be an accomplishment.

Why does KU still have the starters in at this point? KU isn’t winning at this point and we already know how badly an injury can ruin a game/season. No need to risk Neal, Hishaw, or any other starter getting hurt.

Trying to get ewers some post season awards. Texas was just better even with a below average performance.
0 third down conversions makes it tough for bothe the offense and the defense.

I know Jason Daniels is the best QB KU has, but it’s frustrating for me as a fan to see him prep all week with first string and then not play. Shouldn’t Bean be getting equal reps at this point?

@Gorilla72 supposedly he aggravated his back during warms is what I’m hearing. Just unfortunate all around, Bean is capable but that was not his best game. I agree with @Texas-Hawk-10 we probably don’t win with JD but I bet we would’ve took the lead a time or two and ultimately lose by 10-14. The game felt closer than the final for much of it. The defense just got gassed late, Texas had over double the number of offensive plays as us. Jason even on that last 4th down could’ve easily ran and got it. Play calling wasn’t good imo either but it probably changes with JD in there.

We were playing on house money anyways in this Texas game, I bet you couldn’t find 5 guys in here that actually thought we would win this game. -Yet here is the thing if Students waver - - If the fans waver and now start to disappear for upcoming games - - -that’s not a fan - -well ya it’s a closet fan, - -you know what a closet fan is - -a person who puffs that chest out, thumps that chest when it’s all good. Yet when things go bad -it’s like OH NO they aren’t my team. . It just goes to show actually how far this team HAS COME… - - It’s went from being happy with one or two wins trying to stay close to now we are disappointed when we lose or play poor. Before we lose and play poor the mentality was eh TYPICAL GAME & it’s good to feel that way, just means we got interest in our football program again. - -Yet here is the thing, if fans start not showing, quit showing up and supporting the team – if students don’t show - - Lance is already upset with Students leaving, it’s also Lance and the Coach from Washington State are considered serious contenders for the Michigan St job.
If fans walk away , don’t show support-- -if students don’t start sticking around longer Lance very well might say Screw and we will return back to a warm pile of Dod Doo and may have one game win Seasons - -THAT’S ONE THING - - -WE DON’T WANT

It may sound crazy considering the amount of yards and point given up, but the defensive scheme and execution was actually good especially the first 3 quarters. That was the blueprint to beat Texas for the Kansas squad but the offense just fell apart. A few sustained drives in the first half from the offense would have COMPLETELY changed that game.
