I’m at Boston Logan Airport with 3 hours to burn
-
Got here too early. Eager to get home and back to the routine. My company is spazzing a bit about coworking so had all the remote people fly in for the week.
Taking a trip wasn’t bad individually. Its the spouses that have to do double duty on the homefront. Got the fam a souvenir, but wont say what if my wife is reading. If she is, thanks for being a boss!
My impressions of the trip:
- how many tvs do we really need?
- i did like the view on the tv screen that showed current speed on jetblue (every passenger had their own tv, not sure there was even an off button? Should default to off, felt like clockwork orange tbh) so its not all bad i guess.
- man they are going to keep building upward til they reach the stratosphere arent they?
- there are some very nice walkable areas in boston. Its amazing what commercial stuff can be supported with enough residential density.
Hope all you Bucketeers are well. This has been a long off season. Looking forward to catching some KU Bball with you.

Boston is great.
I love the culture and vibe.
-
On a flight to Austin now for the game. The monitor thing is a little excessive for sure. The big plus is it replaced the awkward stare at the flight attendant thing.
Also two thumbs up for density!
-
@approxinfinity Dave Loggins used to beg me to come to Boston. Then again, he also begged me to come to Denver and L.A. I just need more stability in my life
-
I haven’t been to Boston at legal drinking age, so I’d love to go back.

I don’t know what your schedule in Austin looks like, but go hit up Kerby Lane’s post game for some great food and if you’re renting a car or have have someone driving you, go up ro Round Rock in the morning and get some Round Rock Donuts. By far the best donuts I’ve ever had.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Have you had the one that’s the size of a truck tire?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Round rock donuts are overrated in my opinion. KC donuts in south Austin are better.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 good tip! We’re currently in line at Franklin’s and will hit up the alumni tailgate tomorrow but we’re open otherwise
-
@FarmerJayhawk they still handing out free beer to folks in line? Been a while since I’ve had the desire to work that hard for bbq.
-
@benshawks08 not yet, they do have chairs now though it looks like most people bring their own.
-
@FarmerJayhawk the brisket is great. The beef rib might be better.
-
@benshawks08 oh man I love beef ribs. I’m getting one and a pound of brisket plus a little sausage
-
@FarmerJayhawk a solid order!
-
Jealous, my heart says yes to that order but my gut says no. Enjoy!

Never been with enough people to justify buying one.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 he’s a farmer!
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 It’s Texas - that’s a single serving size.
-
I got about halfway through a beef rib, pound of brisket, a pork rib, and a sausage link. They had to basically wheelbarrow me out

Why’d you say “No”?
-
@FarmerJayhawk you make it to game? Worried about your arteries.🫀
-
@Crimsonorblue22 yeah, wow it was a cooker
-
@FarmerJayhawk you see a hurt JD?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 no, it was weird. He wasn’t really on the sideline that we saw
