You know all these inter big 12 moves might be good for the conference if we keep winning outside of conference. Big 12 proven talent.

I see OU picked up 6’2” Grant Sherfield from Nevada. Big get for them. 19 pts, 6 assists & 4 rebounds per game. Should help Groves too.
Big 12 is getting some good players via the portal.

The league will be very strong again. Kansas and Baylor being the likely 2 top teams.

The improvement of Texas Tech and Baylor to challenge KU has helped the conference as a whole. Everyone realized that finishing in the top 3 or 4 wasn’t going to cut it with their admin if Baylor could win a national title and Tech could go to the title game. And what happened? Half the conference went and got a new coach in the last two years. The overall talent in conference has improved. Drew, Self and Huggins are the only coaches in the league that have been at their current school longer than 6 seasons.
We needed a rival to lift the conference and push us a bit. We got that, and now we have a national title, and will probably compete for the title again this year. The conference is no longer a given. We have to beat Baylor to win it. We have to get challenged. And that is ultimately good for our program.

Ramey would be a great addition, but only if either Dick or Rice isn’t quite ready for minutes since he’s a one year player. If Dick and Rice both need to play, there’s not a good way to fit Ramey into the lineup without sacrificing one of those guy’s minutes, particularly since none of Ramey, Dick or Rice is a primary ball handler. That would mean your perimeter rotation would be seven deep - Harris/Pettiford/Yesufu/McCullar/Ramey/Dick/Rice before we even consider what that means for Cuffe. We are better served to get Wilson back than to add another guard without doing some subtraction in the backcourt.

@justanotherfan Rice and Dick will both want to play but I am unsure how ready they will be.
Wilson coming back is a huge key for sure.
