KU/Oklahoma oh boy here we go
-
heard Ku has 67 underclassman - - 67 - - like a 38 point underdog probably not enough
-
No Gardner, Hughes, Robinson, Thompson, and a bunch of others. We’re going to lose by a million

No Terry , No Harris our top two defensive - -three of ours top receivers - - -down to our 3rd and 4th running backs – your right , but it sounds crazy as hell but I still see some things mostly defensive things considering the position they are put in. – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
How in the hell can they call that an intentional grounding on Daniels when he is getting hit ? - - make up call to Oklahoma maybe ?
-
Jayballer: You’re the best. Keep rooting for our Jayhawks.

I’m so impressed with the defense. They get zero help and routinely play their tails off until snap 80 or so when they’re just out of gas. Lots of talent to build around: Parker, Harris, Terry, Prunty, Logan, and on it goes. They’ll be really salty in a year or two.
-
Daniels took an ugly hit, not dirty, and looked like he injured his left hip/leg. He couldn’t put any weight on it as he was helped off.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 and gets killed sitting on the bench

Is this going to be KU fooball’s worst year? The 38 to 23 loss to CC was our most competitive game. I’m sure we’ve never fielded a worse offense. I was expecting (hoping) for baby steps forward. Instead, the offense has taken a huge step backwards so the defense has no chance of keeping the games close.

Our offensive line is killing us - - Daniels has ZERO time spends almost the entire day running for his life. - - Course it doesn’t help when you missing key offensive lineman - - you have lost your top 2 running backs - - Williams opting out and then Garner out, – missing three of your top recievers - - things like that sure doesn’t help - - - then we lose two of our top defensive linemen - - Terry & Harris - - when your fighting to keep your head above water you just can’t afford these kinds of problems

Liberty football is in only its second year of division 1 and is currently 7-0 and ranked 22. What in the hell is KU doing wrong? Maybe Liberty is getting some players who want to be part of the beginning of a new program. Good grief: Coastal Carolina 15, Marshall 16 and SMU 19. Only Ok State is ranked ahead of these teams. Weird.
-
I think we’re on the same plan as these schools were a couple years ago. You’re not allowed to play in the postseason immediately when coming to FBS so Coastal redshirted something like 40 guys one year. And now they’re all RS seniors and juniors. I bet we RS a ton of guys next year (especially with the 4 game rule) and then really see what we have in 2022 and 23.

@stoptheflop Liberty’s level of competition is much inferior to KU’s and they’re in a recruiting hotbed so it’s easier for them to find players overlooked by the ACC.
All of their upperclassmen that are the biggest reason they are in the position they’re in now we’re brought in by former KU coach Turner Gill.
I still believe KU royally screwed up by firing Gill after two seasons. Gill was mostly recruiting HS kids, he had 2-3 JuCo’s per class which wasn’t going to hurt much had they flamed out and had his QB of the future signed in 2012 in Seth Russell before he was fired.
I do believe that KU probably would’ve bottomed out in 2012 under Gill while the Mangino supporters filtered out of the program, but I do believe that we would’ve seen KU turn the corner in 2013-14 as Gill’s culture took over and his recruits stepped up into leadership roles within the program and changed the culture of KU football.
I will always believe that Sheahon Zenger did more damage to Kansas football than anybody else associated with the program, more than Lew, more than Weis (who I put a close second for destroying the depth and class balance), and more than Beaty.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I appreciate your thoughts. With basketball starting so late, I’ve been left with nothing but KU football’s ineptness to ponder. The success of Liberty and CC should be encouraging, if they can do it, so may we, but I’m mostly frustrated and embarrassed by our floundering football program.
