I think OSU played pretty dirty this half with continued pressure down 32 points with less than 5 minutes. I usually like Mike but I’ve lost some respect for him tonight. I get trying to press for a little bit to keep your guys engaged but some super hard fouls there.
-
I want everyone to stop what they are doing and give Doke a hand. Dude was 7 for 8 at line!!!
-
Ok thank you for shutting me up - - I’ll sit down now lmao. - -Guys I would be willing to bet Coach said something to him along the lines of we need you to look for your shot more/be more aggressive - - bottom line is he responded. – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I think Doke is starting to relax more - -think he has finally getting it down , he actually for like the last 7-8 games ha been shooting a lot better
-
@jayballer73 I’m disappointed he couldn’t grab a dang rebound tonight. It would’ve been a much different game at times without his scoring as Garrett sand Dot we’re off most the night.

Saturday is gonna be something else with that atmosphere.
I hope they better have extra security. Their idiot fans gonna be stupid , won’t take much to sit things off, gonna be like a really dry bundle of firewood - -hoping for the best
-
-
Our game on Saturday is on CBS at 12:30. Will they do the chant on live tv?
-
@RockChalkinTexas they always do, the spoons will be hot in that crap hole.
-
you know guys I don’t care if it is the Warriors OR the YMCA no matter - - -we still playing really good ball right now. - - We start hitting free throws like tonight , keep our turnovers to a minimum hit some 3’s think we finished with 10 - we gonna be really hard to beat. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@RockChalkinTexas I’m a lil worried about them doing something stupid. You see where Bruce got called out from the big 12 for complaining about calls?
-
@BShark he didn’t have room to succumb to his almamateritis this year.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 no hadn’t seen that. What about him throwing the stool? Gonna need extra security for sure. I hope we win by at least 20 to shut them up.
-
@jayballer73 playing with free minds most of the game once we got some separation. Not convinced it’s transferrable to future. That said, hope confidence carries forward to prove me wrong.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I’d like to say I’m surprised about Weber but I’m not lol.
-
Okay, 6 minutes left and up by 30 - look pretty good.
-
@Marco no ?

YA wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they did. - -They will be coming in on a LONG , LONG losing streak , I guess they are suppose to be a rival although you have to win sometime for it to be that, their idiot fans looking for anything , probably play WAY over their heads
Look for a lot of posters with chairs things like that - -they are not going anywhere and would love nothing more to take our share of the Championship away We just need to go in and kick them right square in the mouth from the opening tip.
McCormack going to catch all kinds of hell from these goats. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@Marco couldn’t resist
-
@Crimsonorblue22 no shit. Really! We’re good.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 It’s okay. I’m tough, and can take it.
-
@Marco we r watching post game
-
@jayballer73 Yeah, hear they’re calling it Cage Match 2.
-
-
Anyone else notice, the score at the bottom only had us at 23 wins and uped it to 24 after but we actually have 25??

They were behind a game last time too. They aren’t wanting to count something over at ESPN.
-
@BShark just checked their website, has us at 25. IDK lol.
-
-
@kjayhawks Maybe they don’t have a time machine.
-
@Marco I just went to the schedule and we have 25 wins. Just a typo or non update.
-
@kjayhawks Yeah, but it was the same last game. Maybe ESPN hasn’t calibrated their broadcast time machine just yet.
-
Coach Boynton just drooling over KU. - -Opening statement in his post game with media? - - DAM THEY GOOD. Talks about Doke said I’ve seen a lot of basketball just haven’t seen anything like that kind of Player this year, saying he has come such a long ways
-
Doke’s numbers over the last 4 games- 17.5 PPG, 14.7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Big fella is eating my friends, KU I believe is now 28-1 when Doke scores 15 or more.

Not in a good way either
-
Overall. Doke is Elite. He’s a bad man
Conference play. Doke’s PER would be a Big-12 record
-
@Marco I kind of feel like Doke will dominate the tournament(s).
-
Anyone with a KenPom subscription care to share where Doke and Dot are now in the POY rankings…
-
@nuleafjhawk He seems to be getting better and better as he works his way through conference. Often we see players start strong and then fade as teams figure out how to guard them and scheme against them but at this point, who isn’t doing EVERYTHING they can to stop him and he just keeps dominating. The rebounding recently has been insane! He’s pulling them down in a crowd, going out of his area, etc. I mean, OK State was triple and sometimes quadruple teaming him in the post and he still finished with 19 points and I think as importantly only 2 turnovers. I’d like to see his assist numbers go up in those situations but most of that is on the guy he passes to being ready to shoot and being able to make the basket. Eight offensive rebounds is just insane when you think about what he does once he rebounds it.
I think you are right that he is primed to have a BIG March. That’s why the OkState coach was talking about him being in the rafters. He did everything he could to stop that guy and it did nothing. He’s too big, too strong, too fit, too skilled, and cares too much for teams to stop him.
-
Even though it wasn’t in the plans, he has spent 4 years here and probably has a deep appreciation for the program and all surrounding it. This place has been his family for four years, and he realizes that the end of all it has been to him is near.
-
@benshawks08 Doke is a PRIME example of why players should stay four years. He has worked his butt off and made incredible strides in all facets of his game. He is adored by the whole Jayhawk nation.
My heart already breaks for Dotson. When he leaves next year he will be remembered fondly and held in high esteem, but I for one will always wonder how incredible he would have been by the time he was a senior.
I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t buy into the theory that they can’t wait until graduation to start cashing the big checks.

Here ya go.
Dotson is #1- been there for a while.
Azubuike has shot up to #6. It’s only a top 10 list so I don’t know where he was prior but this is the first time he’s been on the list to my knowledge.
-
Only 1 more home game for Doke… Man I really wasn’t ready for that reality
-
Wouldn’t it be great to have two 1st team All Americans on the team ? – Devon & Doke. - -How about having a Big 12 player of the year ? - -wonder if guys could share the title ? – Devon & Doke. - - How about having the National Defensive player of the year? - -Marcus - - -mercy all those possibilities - -won’t happen but hey doesn’t hurt to dream/want. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@nuleafjhawk It’s definitely more fun for us when they stay! Always hard to tell who needs what with regard to big checks. I’ll never think less of a guy for doing what he thinks is best for his future. I am thinking more and more that Doke’s check might be bigger than I originally anticipated!
-
This team is playing as well as I could have hoped for at the beginning of the season.
As much as last year was a disappointment, this year has been a pleasant surprise.
