@jayballer73 KU boos the opposing team all game in every sporting event I’ve been to at Kansas, which is football, basketball, volleyball and baseball. And for those who can’t read I didn’t boo anyone, people at the game did not me.

Agree 100%. Started with the first game of the year and we are 15 games in and it hasn’t gotten better. Zero reason to believe it will.

I only got to watch the first half, but it looked like they out Kansased KU. Packed the paint and dared us to beat them from outside and the shooters couldn’t get it done.

Yes, KU has lost to the 3 best teams we’ve played, while Baylor has beaten Villanova, Arizona, Butler, Texas Tech and us (at home). Doesn’t seem like there is much question that Baylor is the better team, at least until this point.
Because of our defense and size/length, we can play with anyone and beat them on most nights. But it is clear at this point that this is a deeply flawed team offensively - no consistent outside threat from anyone, only two decent ball handlers and no one that passes well. It’s very difficult to envision this team winning 6 in a row against good competition.

Long time lurker here, but I couldn’t stay silent any longer. Those above me who feel booing their own team is ok, that we should immediately fire our coach, that our players don’t care, etc etc - just stop. It’s people like you that I never go back to that other site as it runs rampant there. Win, lose, we are Jayhawks. I’ve been a fan since my dad took me to the Phog as a little guy and fell in love with it all. Went to school there for 6 years and camped for every single game. Had great wins and hard losses, but that’s part of the game. I completely understand it’s upsetting, but to target and boo your own team? Sad. Hell I think leaving early is sad. You know this is wrong and if you don’t, well, you’re just another privileged fan KU has so many of.
These guys bust their ass all year long. They clearly played hurt today, show at least a modicum of respect.
Sorry for the rant and I hate that this is my first post… just something I’m passionate about. Rock Chalk.

Udoka Azubuike is KU’s most important player period. 4 shots against Duke, 6 shots today. It really is as simple as stop Doke, stop KU’s offense. KU has to figure out how to get Doke involved in games where the defense is doubling him. This was a game KU should’ve run a two big offense and let Doke feed McCormack off his double teams. That would’ve sacrificed a little bit defensively, but would’ve helped the offense out a bunch. Self got outcoached by Scott Drew today.

@jayballer73 every home team boos the opposing team, been that way at any sporting event I’ve been to from high school to NFL games. I have zero problem with it. I think there is a line you shouldn’t cross with insults but I enjoyed it so much as a player and coach going into rough environments. It was great shutting them up when we did.
