BayLOL Game Thread

Long time lurker here, but I couldn’t stay silent any longer. Those above me who feel booing their own team is ok, that we should immediately fire our coach, that our players don’t care, etc etc - just stop. It’s people like you that I never go back to that other site as it runs rampant there. Win, lose, we are Jayhawks. I’ve been a fan since my dad took me to the Phog as a little guy and fell in love with it all. Went to school there for 6 years and camped for every single game. Had great wins and hard losses, but that’s part of the game. I completely understand it’s upsetting, but to target and boo your own team? Sad. Hell I think leaving early is sad. You know this is wrong and if you don’t, well, you’re just another privileged fan KU has so many of.
These guys bust their ass all year long. They clearly played hurt today, show at least a modicum of respect.
Sorry for the rant and I hate that this is my first post… just something I’m passionate about. Rock Chalk.

I’ve had a hip pt, you can’t hurt it playing, just how much you can tolerate the pain. That’s what the dr told me. Still flairs up.

@PharmacyHawk We played our asses off but didn’t get any loose balls… read that again slowly and see if it fits. We were soft today and Self talked about that in post game. The Self firing talks was for laughs to improve my own mood lol.

Udoka Azubuike is KU’s most important player period. 4 shots against Duke, 6 shots today. It really is as simple as stop Doke, stop KU’s offense. KU has to figure out how to get Doke involved in games where the defense is doubling him. This was a game KU should’ve run a two big offense and let Doke feed McCormack off his double teams. That would’ve sacrificed a little bit defensively, but would’ve helped the offense out a bunch. Self got outcoached by Scott Drew today.

@jayballer73 every home team boos the opposing team, been that way at any sporting event I’ve been to from high school to NFL games. I have zero problem with it. I think there is a line you shouldn’t cross with insults but I enjoyed it so much as a player and coach going into rough environments. It was great shutting them up when we did.

this is a never ending conversation and I’m done. - I guess we were just brought up different ways. - I was brought up to respect , so some have some class, that whole scenario just makes you look some little snot nosed spoiled punk, Thank GOD I know many , many , many more KU fans that don’t pull that shit.

@jayballer73 what do you want the fans to do to make noise? 99% of AFH is booing at multiple times during the game and before it. Anyone that says otherwise is ether mentally handicapped or liar.

Every single fan base boos. It’s just part of sports. Some do it more than others (ISU) but it’s not unique to them.
