Mill A Wah Kay Game Thread

I don’t think we appreciate how good Bill Self teams are at getting the ball into the post. By comparison the entry passes by UNC in the game I went to were pitiful.
This team isn’t great at it but I get your point. Still probably better than average because Self makes it a focal point.
-
Self drills the angles and the entry pass like no other.
-
I think the entry-passing has some room for improvement honestly.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Brady Morningstar agrees. I remember Selden being pretty good at it too.
-
Why does Silvio catch the ball practically on the floor on each entry pass?
-
@BShark absolutely. You don’t construct a roster like this without an expectation of winning the boards.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Agreed. We turned it over quite a lot last game trying to force it in there.
-
Foul

lost my stream on +. thanks jeff long.
-
@DanR Weird. Been fine for me tonight. Try refreshing?
-
10-2 Milwaukee run. What’s up???
-
Missed a travel.

Walk

It’s back. Looks like video from the 1980s
-
How do you miss that

Weird line-ups. Self is looking to get minutes for Silvio, Braun and Enaruna.
-
Dramatic
-
almost set a good screen, then bailed on it, silvio
-
I don’t know about that. He looked pretty set to me. The guy just flailed.
-
I’m concerned that Silvio’s weight lifting has messed him up.
-
@BShark Shouldn’t those guys be better than Milwaukee???
-
He seems to run a little funny like he’s got back issues and seems to have a lack of agility that I don’t remember his freshman year.

I think it’s above the neck with him
-
@DCHawker It’s caused defensive issues. Braun in particular is quite bad defensively.
-
Imagine 4 yrs of dotson
-
Dotson was just going to hang out with the cheerleaders until a teammate came over to help him up. LOL
-
Penn State still up by 6. 3 minutes to go.
-
@BeddieKU23 Or one year with Dot and Bryce.
-
Exactly what I’m talking about. This group doesn’t have it on d. Wide open lay-up for Milwaukee. We won’t see this line-up in real games.
-
Christian is a yr away from a year away of being average defensively
-
Junior dot, Senior Marcus, Junior Ochai sounds pretty good to me.

That 31-6-4-5-0 line against Dayton was what Derrick Rose wishes he was his freshman year. I’m still convinced Devon goes lottery (assuming his 3 point shooting is around 36%)
-
No reason Christian can’t be a better defender than Grayson Allen. Bruan’s arms are longer and he’s not a tripper.
-
Our 5th guard in the rotation is Grimes defensively. We good
-
Not a great end to the half - they outscored us 12-7 in the last 6 minutes…
-
Coach heading to the locker room to chew out the bench.
-
Unfortunately I think Devon is a 2nd rounder no matter what he does. Being 6-2 with a streaky 3 hurts
-
The bench looked a little lost but that’s why we need this game.

I can see where it is frustrating to watch but it doesn’t really matter. Would playing our best line-ups to be up 62-22 or so prove anything? If you don’t experiment now there really isn’t a time to do it.
-
Dotson is averaging like 19, 4, and 4. If he maintains that he’s a 1st rounder.

Also this lol
-
But to me he is basically everything you want in a guard and I’m happy he is a jayhawk
-
Tech up by 8 on L’Ville with 5:40. Tortillas!
-
As long as he doesn’t land in Sacramento

He may look like a first round talent to us but he really isnt getting that kind of love from scouts and those that do this for a living
-
@BShark Absolutely agree - just disappointed with the results…
-
Penn St up by 10 with 1:30 shooting free throws now. Not surprised. Maryland got away with one last week against Illinois.
-
@BeddieKU23 Derrick Rose shot 33.7% from 3 and 47% from the field and went #1 overall. I know things have changed since 2008 but speed still kills.
-
RELEASE THE TEDDY BEARS !
-
@BeddieKU23 Well as long as he doesn’t go to Sacramento. 2nd-round picks can do well too (see: Graham).
