So, my read is we are taking Jossell as we are anticipating that the roster spot will be there and he staff sees potential for development. As we have seen in the past, if the player’s development does not merit the playing time that he wants…he transfers.

2nd round next year but that’s going to change if he continues to have a big role and produce.
Enaruna is a sure fire future first rounder, possibly even a lottery pick. We will be lucky if he sticks around past year two.

I think its premature to say where he’d end up in the draft but certainly he’s going to fit a lot of boxes of a player that could be drafted high.

@Crimsonorblue22 that’s a really interesting observation. I checked out the offer lists for 2020 and 2021 and we haven’t offered anyone we’d consider a “bruiser” like Dave or Doke. Lots of lanky, 210-230 pounders who have some skill.

I think it might be possibly from thinking that Silvio I think is gone whether pro or not - - I and a few others I’ve talked with just seem to think he will be gone after this year - -oversea’s maybe

That was for Jossell I believe.
Staff is after Frank Anselem as he may reclassify into 20. Reading some things it would sound as if they prefer he’d stay in 21 where they would have the best chance of landing him. If he goes into 20 looks like LSU is the front runner

Yeah, I got to know about Jossell in advance due to a friendship not that it was even really a secret.
I hope you guys liked his commitment video edit.
Hard to see Anselem getting away from LSU regardless.

Kendall Brown @BShark is a playah! We have got to sign him. I’m all in on signing the KC area and Sunrise kids, ditto keeping the Wasatch pipeline open.

No Surprise, Adam Miller commits to Illinois.
Didn’t sign in the early period so that means he’ll sign with Duke in the Spring

Some statistics to point out how this recruiting cycle is going.
The Big-12 has been hurt by KU’s NOA, Texas being young and having zero commits. Oklahoma also took a big class last year and only has 1 commit. Overall the Big-12 has 6 teams in the Top 20 team ranks

@BeddieKU23 I believe those numbers reflect the ups and downs in the normal recruiting cycle more than anything.
Also, the Big 12 is smaller now than the other Big 5 power conferences and I no longer remember enough statistics to analyze the numbers properly.
And maybe HCBS has decided that the best way to get another NCAA title is with experienced players who have learned to play Billy-Ball and w/a couple of top 25 players (OADs) thrown in.
OR, I have no idea…

Honestly… and I know that this doesn’t really happen much in basketball but he should have opened it back up. Neither KU or Arky made sense if he wants to play next year.

Yupp. I liked his game so my criticism of his pick was more about him finding somewhere to play early without an uphill battle. I guess he was really sold on Musselman and staying home

@BeddieKU23 I guess he is okay with being deep bench. He is ranked in the 70s and starting right away isn’t for everyone.

Maybe there is a plan for him or the roster will open up a bit at seasons end the way Arkansas has gone about 3 over recruiting so far. Not signing in the fall at least keeps the options open slightly

Curious , and I know there is no room on the roster for this year BUT just had a question. - -JT Thor didn’t sign in the early period most thought he would be signing early with Okla State. - -he didn’t , but said he never planned signing early from the start. - -There has been some talk about possible Over sea’s - -he said he thought some about- -but very unlikely.
Thing is I the article said there was four schools really focusing on him. – Oklahoma State - - - -Kentucky - - - KU - - & then I forget another school, his only official had been to Oklahoma State.
Having said all that to ask this question - -Is there ANY possible chance - - any at all with the extra time to work on him - -would there be any chance to convince him NOT to re-classify to 2020. - the article said class of 2022 , that’s not right is it, thought he was 2021. - -If he stayed put we could always hit him hard for next year. - -ANY CHANCE?

Believe that article is wrong hes a 2020 guy. He visited only 2 schools on his supposed list. Farmer would know more but I dont think we have been active with Thor in a while. Maybe that changes as the season goes on but OSU having a good start and looking like a team that could be ranked during the season might seal the deal for them as they have the roster space

thanks. - -I don’t know could very easily be wrong but I swear originally he was in the class of 2021 and sure thought I read articles where he was talking about wanting to re-classify to 2020 - -again coul be easily wrong but - hell the article said he was class of 2022 I know that can’t be right - -he wouldn’t be jumping 2 years for sure - -don’t know why I sure thought he was 2021 and then re-classified to 2020 - -oh well wouldn’t be the 1st time I’m wrong
Ya I didn’t think we checking in on him - -but this thig I read today said it was Oklahoma St - - -Ku - - Georgia - - & Kentucky. - -I don’t think Kentucky has really any serious interest - - he broke down all 4 schools - -who knows

Thor is a 2020 kid. I think it’s pretty likely he’s going to OSU barring some NCAA stuff. At this point I think it drags on for awhile.

That’s fair. Harris might not even start: Garrett, Thompson, Agbaji, Enaruna, McCormack (rough guess)
