Javonte Brown Ferguson is down to Texas A&M, UCONN, and KU. Will probably commit in the next couple of weeks. Not sure how much KU is in this one, but just passing it on.

@BShark From what I have seen today on Twitter it seems like UCONN is going to be the pick for him. One thing is for sure it is not going to be KU it appears.

Definitely not KU. With Dave being back, Silvio possibly being back, Mitch possibly taking a RS, landing Gethro and Enaruna/Wilson able to play the 4 I don’t think KU will add another big.

To @BShark’s point, the two biggest “recruits” left on the board are Silvio and Ochai. Harris, Thompson, Ochai, Silvio, McCormack is easily another top 5 team. Even if Silvio goes, we could go small (even though Enaruna is taller than Silvio?) with Wilson or Enaruna at the 4. Could also go the grad transfer route but that seems less likely.

Even if Silvio came back I like playing predominantly “small” with the roster and rotating Silvio and Dave at the 5. Makes it easier to find minutes for Garrett, Enaruna and Wilson. Lets you play your best guys more.

well saw where Meyer put a CB in for KK to Arkansas - - no real surprise - - -at least to me , I’ve thought all along Arkansas would be the one we would have our hands full on this with.
Not really sure if the little smoke we are now getting with Bryce would have anything to do with that or not.

So Javonte Brown has us in his final 3 and gonna make his decision soon. - -Now BShark says 100 % that he is headed to Texas A&M - - and I’m not saying that your wrong at all believe that , very well could be - -but said that with Gethro coming here would be a reason for him not wanting to come , just can’t see that as a reason for him not to.
Brown/F - -had said that Coach Self and staff had told him that IF we got commits from Gethro AND Todd then it probably wouldn’t want to come or might not be the best for him to come somewhere along those lines. – Well Todd didn’t commit, they didn’t say anything about if Silvio stuck around he shouldn’t come
Again I’m not saying he won’t go to A&M -you know more then I do I’m sure - -just guessing on my part - -just saying that I just don’t think cause Gethro is here that would be enough to keep him away - -personally between the two Gethro and Javonte I’d prefer Javonte - but would be ideal for both - -just random thoughts. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

The thing about Javonte is next years roster doesn’t need another big at all, it needs more actual ball handling capable guards.
5s: Dave, hopefully Silvio, Gethro
Undersized 5s: Mitch (assuming he takes a RS this year)
4s: Enaruna, Wilson
That’s 6 deep in the post already (which means Gethro probably RS).

I figured this was the case. We NEED another ball handling guard but I don’t see getting two high level players at that spot.

Same. I quit asking about Bryce a couple months ago once I heard he was going to stay home and Cade/Todd would end up at Okie Lite. Once the ground started shifting under those two I just figured we wouldn’t be the beneficiary of any of it. But alas, we’re probably getting Bryce.
Though I’ll eat some crow. UK was taking the first of Askew and Cade. Sounds like Okie Lite is the probably destination for him now. RJ Davis kind of took the spot at UNC but we’ll see I suppose. I think it’s either OSU or UK.

Well just doing some random thinking. - -I know that’ usually scary for me lol. Anyways got to thinking read where Boynton was in to see Bryce yesterday & Shaka was into see Bryce too.
Got me to wondering trying to fit this puzzle - -the pieces together , with the little smoke and a few CB’S that we have picked up for Bryce recently and then these Coach’s coming in to see him yesterday - -you don’t suppose do you that there might be a possibility that he was bringing these Coach’s in to tell them about his commitment and thanking them for his recruitment? - - I know Shaka I don’t think was really a serious contender was but know Okie St was in there at least at one time. - With him taking his last visit and such and making the statement that after his last visit he would get together with his parents and talk about things?
Could be his decision is coming really soon & he notifying Coach’s. I was curious what the talk was on the North Carolina board and read where I guess there was some kind of insider that said that the longer this went on he thought helped KU more - - Plus people saying the Davis commit hurt their chances with Bryce.
Almost comical reading their comments about how dirty KU was and couldn’t figure out why ANY parent would want their kid to come play at such a dirty program. - - - Seriously - - Really this coming out of the mouths from all the crap they had going on? - Talking about how Bill Self has made a mockery of the game since he has been at KU - - lmao.
Talk about how they had thought Oklahoma was a figure but heard that Oklahoma had made a last ditch effort with Bryce having the Thunder practice on their floor when Bryce took the official visit and then followed him home to visit with him. - -UNC talking said that since Bryce hadn’t committed to them yet they felt like their chances were not so good - -I really haven’t hear much about UNC and Bryce lately I think their cooked - - it’s OU & KU I like our chances.
