AP source - said he escaped big time damage to knee. - -they were able to re set his patella on the field.
Said the chiefs haven’t released timetable for return - - BUT source says could be 3 weeks but looking like also could be 4-6 weeks

I’ve noticed how big the injury news is on a national scale. Even out here on the coast all the local TV/radio sportscasters (usually a pretty pariochial bunch) had it as one of their top stories.
Can’t recall a pro athlete from Kansas City with this much national clout since George Brett.

As far as athlete salaries, I think they are fine. They are making even more for the owners. I always suggest to people that think they are overpaid you can always go to a TBones game for cheap or watch intramurals. Lol.

The hiatus for Mahomes gives our O line a chance to heal before he comes back. Moore might get beat up, so we should sign about 4 interim guys.
I already pointed out one irony of PM’s injury. Here is another: How many of us going into last night’s game were more afraid of Mahomes getting hurt by a dumb coach than by a series of sacks like he suffered through in last week’s game?

The QB sneak is about the safest play in football. Fluke injury.
I would not be surprised to see Mahomes back in time to get a few snaps for the monday night game against the chargers on Nov. 18. Then take a couple weeks off for the bye. But, seriously, the chiefs have to get at least one more QB on the roster for the next month. Sherman is the backup? Moore’s entire college and pro career is based on going in to sub for injured starters when NOT INJURED HIMSELF. He’s no iron man. Chiefs need another actual QB.
Moore had couple good passes yesterday, and I have nothing against the dude, but the guy does not look to be in the peak of conditioning. Is he capable of even going four quarters?

People that are mad about the QB sneak understand that his ankle had nothing to do with someone falling on his knee, right? I mean are people really mad that Andy called a QB sneak on 4th and inches? Tom Brady has run 186 QB sneaks in his career, and guess how many times he’s got hurt. Zero. Being mad about the play all is dumb. Don’t be dumb.
Pat will be back either for the Chargers game or the Raiders game after the bye. There is no reason to give up draft picks and trade for a QB. Andy will have Moore ready and they can go 2-2 in the next 4 games, and still win the division.

@nuleafjhawk I agree, him taking 5 weeks maybe good in the long run. His top 2 WRs have played just over a game together, the offensive line has had 2 guys out and the defense has had both linebackers and lineman out. Wait til after the bye and see if this team can get healthy, then you can make judgement. I think a 9-7 record wins the west this year and with only one game in the division in the next 4 as long as they dont go 0-4 with out him they could still be 3rd or 4th seed in the AFC. The Patriots schedule is so weak, I dont see them not being the number 1 seed.

@AsadZ I don’t see why not. Let’s wait and see how the Patriots look when they play a some games against teams with a pulse. They have played one decent team in Buffalo and won 16-10. They appear to have a great D but their offense isn’t anything special this year.
They play Cleveland, @ Balt, @ Philly, Dallas, @ Houston, and KC coming up in the heart of their schedule. They run the table there or go 5-1 then maybe I’ll change my tune.

was listening this morning and the reporters are talking like it could be even sooner then three weeks for Holmes return - -going to take it week by week – probably the only game for sure Patrick missing is the Green Bay game - - after that – all bets are off.
The way they are talking Holmes wants to come back NOW - - feels good but that’s not happening - but again could be before three weeks. - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

True story: I explained to my wife in the 3rd quarter why the punter gets the snap on a FG. Some bullshit about how they are sure-handed and ready to take quick action like a pooch kich if the snap is bad…

@Crimsonorblue22 I blame Reid for everything on that series. 3rd and 2 trying to run the clock in field goal range, need a field goal to ice it. You don’t freaking pass! You run it, then kick. Or, if you want to run the clock, you run it on 4th down, too. Even the Chiefs should be able to get 2 yards in 2 plays. BUT YOU DON’T FREAKING PASS AND GO BACKWARDS 17 YARDS IN THOSE 2 PLAYS!
Okay, rant over. I am now okay because I know not to expect anything from a team that has such dumb coaching.
