Everything I read was that he was supposed to fly home yesterday and didnāt have anything planned for today as far as workouts.

I read the Athletic article with quotes from NBA personnel and the consensus seems to be that Dotsonās a late second rounder at best.
Shooting and distribution need to improve dramatically for him to stick in the league.
That said, itās hard to see D leaving unless he desperately wants out of college ball. Guess I donāt understand why the decision is going down to the wire when itās apparently a no brainer.

Reallyā¦ if he come back to college he will eventually be a first rounder. What Iām guessing is happening is that teams are dangling some guaranteed numbers at the dotsonsā¦ teams need role players and low paid bodies and are willing to take a gamble on guaranteed contracts, but usually these are guys in the top 50. Dotson is not currently in the top 50, and would obviously benefit from more Hudy and more D1 level competition, As well as lots of TV exposure with Kansas

From Bossi, āFWIW, I was told last night that the possibility of Grimes returning to Lawrence had increased quite a bit in the last 24-48 hours. Not saying he will (though we will know soon enough) but this time yesterday I would have put his chances of return at slim and none with slim out the door.ā

I would love to have Grimes back assuming he gets the right people in his hear and gets his head on straight. Thereās no doubt heās incredibly talented, weāve all seen it. Just needs to be motivated in the right way.
And the crazy thing about it is Grimes is only 5 months older than Walker.

I dunno the longer this goes today - the more nervous I get , makes me think this is a lot harder of a decision for him to make - -& thatās not good.- - He wouldnāt be the type of kid as to where he doesnāt make an announcement and just automatically stay in the draft would he without telling us anything? - -I sure wouldnāt think that is the case - -but man after the way this year has gone - anything is possible I think.

@Bosthawk The phrase ājerk moveā would not be what I would personally use to describe the biggest decision of their lives. I feel they have more skin in the game than we do, and if they want to take as much time as they need to make their decision, then Iām certainly ok with that.

@KUSTEVE Good pointā¦ itās just that, if itās such a big decision, he would have DECIDED IT by now. Unless he is still fielding calls from people, including overseas reps, this decision has been done. His draft stock is not going up in the next hour.

Grimes was considered gone, but considered a second-rounder (at best) and could wind up coming back to KU.
Dotson and Nwora are toss-ups.
