I’ll take it a step further @jayballer73 and I never said this about our last team (wasn’t as high on it as most). If all of the pieces fall into place - as well as an outside shot to give balance - and everyone stays healthy, I think we could win it all. Which I guess is what you are saying, right?

@Marco - I said the before last season. If we had SDS to start last season, I thought we had a decent chance to go undefeated. That assumed everyone healthy, contributing, etc. I think what we saw of our team early, with Vick being a huge factor, that was possible. Of course, undefeated is a high bar, but maybe a two or three loss season was entirely reasonable.
@FarmerJayhawk @jayballer73 @BShark That is all helpful. I do like Wilson’s ability to shoot the ball as being in the mix for time at the three.

I like Braun, McBride and Agbaji being able to contribute from three, as well.

I am not sure how Braun and McBride find minutes. Maybe one but not both. And neither if Dotson, RJ and Wilson are all on the team.

@KUSTEVE he’ll be able to defend some 3’s, but not the quickest guys like if someone played 3 small guards. With our personnel next season I bet he’s more of a 4.

So since it seems like people conceding Hampton to over sea’s now huh? - This recuiting year has just plain Sucked -can’t count Silvio as a recruit already here -So Kyree would be great if he would re-classify - but not sure that would matter the way this year has gone - -IF Hampton does indeed go oversea’s - -just insane -then you figure Hampton goes over sea"s and Wilson re-commits back to Michigan

Kyree Walker and Jalen Wilson are the big prizes now. I think Arkansas is no longer an option for Walker assuming he reclassifies. I think he will assuming his academics are in order. They’re 3 over the scholarship limit as it stands and just took two wings as grad transfers. I’ll see what else I can dig up there. Everyone feels like KU leads for Wilson, and I have no reason to disagree. He and RJ were always independent of each other.

Has Walker ever mentioned himself that he is thinking about reclassifying? I just haven’t seen anything about it… Really haven’t seen much on him at all.

@FarmerJayhawk I have seen that (Walker RJ either/or not both) bandied about in a couple articles before, one on Rivals I think. If Arkansas isn’t in the picture, it would have to be KU I’d think. Saw nothing but Arkansas or KU and he is Adidas all the way I believe.
@Woodrow Not sure, he will be 19 before the next season even starts though.

He always plays coy about it but I really think he will. He turns 19 in November so he’s eligible for the 2020 draft if he graduates this year.

I’ve heard Memphis, though that was pre-Tucker and Precious, Oregon (seems less likely since his good friend Wooten is gone), and LSU. Also he’s on the Adidas circuit this summer. So look out below!

True on scholarships. I guess I’ll wait and see what happens. Never seen a recruiting cycle like this one and I hope we never do again. There isnt much fun in following this the way it’s gone if that’s how it’s going to continue

Especially with an absolutely gaping hole at the wing. He wants the ball in his hands as more of a guard (personally I like him more as a 3) but he can do that playing off guard at KU. Dead eye shooter too. 43 and 47 percent the last two years. 80% from the line over his career too.

So seeing what I had been mentioning - - MICHIGAN , right there - because of Jwuan. - -anybody but him , - like I said His parents loved the fab 5 and named Jalen after Jalen Rose. - Hell they had even talked about trying to hire Jalen as an assistant to help things- - at this point I’m not even beginning to try and think were in good shape with ANYONE

He DID have Memphis as one of the three schools -BUT that can’t be an option anymore. - Yet IF and when he does IF he does I’m sure there will be a lot of Schools be jumping on it. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Here’s my new mindset - KU will never land another top 100 recruit. That way IF they do sign one I can be happy and not pissed at every whiff. There are far more misses than hits the way this staff recruits, wide net.

Ya I like him a lot. - when I watch clips of him , and I know they are high lite clips but looks like the kid can be a pretty physical player , like I’ve mentioned here I believe , seen where they call him like a positionless player. - - I think from the way it sounds and I know if he re-classifies I’m sure things will change drastically but as of the moment - for him it was like 3 teams he was listing -Arkansas - - Memphis - -& KU.

As frustrated as I am as a fan about recruiting I can only imagine how the staff feels. And they have to keep a smile on and go do it again today. Played twice in the same month. Poor guys, hope they have a plan D E and F.

I think, at this point, that their plan is to get to the '19-'20 season and go all in on the '20 and '21 recruits. Three that I want to be Jayhawks? Xavier Foster, Ty Berry and Bryce Thompson.
