Very odd place to work from what I’ve heard. I’ve never been myself but a former boss was on a trade mission over there and did not have particularly good things to say.

I think things are shaping up pretty good for us to not only land RJ but be a much improved team for next season. I’m fairly confident Dot isn’t going to be a first rounder and will return for next season. If we can get Silvio cleared and stay away from sanctions, we could have a legit shot at a FF.

With the things that RJ and his dad has had to say about Ku and the staff. - his dad talking about Howard and him being like family - -how Jerrance is always there - -how he feels he can talk to him at any time -whether its 3:00 in the day - -or 3 at night. - -just like family.
How they talk about his Dad saying he feels comfortable and would not have any problem dropping RJ off at KU and feeling comfortable with it. - How RJ stating that KU has been there from day 1. - -talking about how he could be the guy we run the offense through. - -RJ come here and run the back court with Devon? - -like they were talking about that could very easily be THE BEST back court in the Nation.

Did I miss anyone? I’m counting 41 programs so far. Just in the trials… Yea not widespread at all.

Oh right Grimes playing over 30mpg despite SUCKING OUT LOUD and being the worst rotation player on the roster. It didn’t really change the trajectory of last years team much and WILL pay dividends in recruiting down the road.

He may be an important piece, I can only hope. and Self will be obliged to give him lotsa minutes despite his inexperience. Best case scenario is he shoots the lights out in tourney play ala Newman.

@Bosthawk He’s been widely viewed as one of the top guard prospects in HS for years. Moreso in the Wiggs/Josh vein than Grimes.

We gonna land some Hampton and Holyfield, and Enaruna as well, just watch and see. If we play our cards right Tucker, too. Top 5 class with Braun (who I am high on) and McBride (who I am not low on). Coach recruiting (he be pissed!) hard for 2020 and 21, we will be just fine. Don’t forget, he’ll only have to add pieces, we’ll actually have a bench.

I would say he is better then Xavier - -and one year of him will YES make us much better here was a little that was said about him from past weekends EBYL circuit:
RJ was playing against 3 top 10 recruits from 2020 - which is the class RJ was in until re-classifying , and 2 top players from 2021. - He had 115 points over the weekend for an average of 28.8 ppg. Absolutely has the ability to be able to change speed an direction due to his athleticism and handles.
One of the big things in his recruitment with Coach that KU was telling him he comes here - - we will run the offense through him and he is the type for sure that can get us back to the final four. - Bill was the one who was the 1st and really pushed for him to re-classify - -we were the 1st blue blood to offer RJ - been in on him from the get go. - He would step right in to the starting line up - rather it be at the # 1 - -OR the 2 - absolute need/want - kid is a stud. - People said he is probably the best guard regardless of any class. - THIS we need - -we NEED/want. - -and bad - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well, if true (Hampton going to Memphis) that would seem to be saying - yes, I’m reading tea leaves here - that Dotson is going to come back. I’ve never said that I don’t want him to come back, only that I didnt think that he would. Reason being, I think Hampton wants the ball in his hands and that he doesn’t want another PG around. Anyway, we shall see. PS - to be honest, I’m not a big fan of these late commits.
