It was 2005-06 and KU flamed out in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
I know this because we had a Gameday game against Texas in Austin and Texas blew them away by 25.

Vick had 7 of our 8 3s. Q had the only other 3 tonight. Ku was 8/22 from 3, 36%.

If anyone told me before season that Vick was gonna have 32 and 33 in back to back games id be thrilled and assume he’d have a huge season.

Vick 7-12 from 3, the rest of the team 1-10. Vick also had 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals…excellent game for him and be career high of 33 after his previous career high of 32 agains Vermont.

If Doke and Vick had made it to the pros, this would be a really really raw team.

Yep. Can’t jump over a dollar bill either. He is a nice player and will put up stats for KU. Might not end up AA. If KU improves as a team and has a successful year individual accolades will happen.
The huge part for Dedric is playing within the offense and not forcing things.

Seeing those statues at the post game desk, I’d really love to see KU change their logo to a modernized version of the Warhawk logo. Logos should be mean looking and ours is anything but mean looking.

You glad Vick came back? lo - - just got to stay after it - -opponents get better next week - -but he is steppin up - - -The announcers dong the game and then Gurley both said Vick had 33 points and NINE rebounds tonight = =not to bad. - - -put that on top of his 32 points before that.

, – Doke had a good game 17 points - - - -8 rebounds - - 4 blocks- - just got to work on those dam free throws. , think they brought up a good point - -they said they know all the fans want Doke to do well with his free throws but they say when he DOES MAKE a free throw they cheer so loud all it’s does is add that much more pressure .,
Personal thought - -I feel McCormick needs to take over in the rotation over Mitch -very raw but like Coach said McCormick saved us in the 1st half. - - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Garrett is definitely a PG. Ran the offense at times tonight, had the most assists.

There is something to be said about tradition and I believe the Jayhawk has deep tradition, is one a kind and I would no change it. What is next Oakland Raiders like black uniforms?

Grimes over 30 again, all three games now.
Mitch and KJ 2 minutes each. Deep bench.
Moore 21 Dotson 20. Similar stats except Dotson made a couple 2s.

Everyone knows how fond I am of the Marsha family? My son and his fiancé are at a fundraiser in wichita and he sends me a pic of greggggg and it’s a multi course dinner w/him and his wife, other couples, wine and after dinner drinks. lynn is helping cook. So get drunk w/mrs Marsha? Jk!

@Texas-Hawk-10 The current logo is a slightly altered version of the one created by KU student Hal Sandy in 1946. I worked for Sandy Inc, an advertising display company in KC, during school vacations in the late 70’s thru 1981, but unfortunately he had sold it by then so I never met him. I remember the first day I worked there I found out why the Jayhawk copyright had his name, not KU like today, after the circled c. Keep it, I say!

Dedric Lawson was super reflective and honest in his post-game session. Talked about adjusting to new teammates and not being the focal point of the offense. Can tell he’s trying to make it work. Just an adjustment right now. #kubball

Dedric was 6-11, 7-10 from the FT and 0-1from 3 with 6 rebounds and 3 assists; perhaps not what we expected but not too bad either.

I was at the local football game so I didn’t get to watch. Sounds like it was ugly except for Vick a again…

Now I understand the flagrant foul for hooking in the paint. I first saw it called in another game and didn’t see anything, just two players side by side waiting for a rebound. But, the replay shows Mitch with his arm entwined with the Cagin player. Clearly, wrapping the other player’s upper arm is an effort to limit his ability to rebound. Hooking will be cleaned up in a couple of weeks. As a TV viewer, it’s very hard to see unless you know what to look for.
