He is a fair bit better than Harvey at this stage from what I’ve seen. Their ranking is similar though. I wonder if we can take both.

Yeah we’ll see how this plays out. JRE is good friends with Jontay Porter who’s godfather is Romar (Zona assistant).

I expect him to take more visits. UNC and some others have put forth the effort. So he should use all his officials and ultimately end up at KU.
Romar is every recruit’s god father it seems.

I think Green is better at this point as well and physically he’s really filled out at IMG. I like how Harvey is developing. 2019 class is really strong and KU is in a good spot to clean up

I expect him to visit others as well. The Zona one is interesting seems how they just offered. JRE should enjoy the process however for KU fans we all wish he would shut it down early…

@BeddieKU23 It sure feels like we are in a great spot with a lot of targets. I think it’s already basically down to KU and Minnesota for Hurt. He could pop early.
Then there is still Chandler Lawson. That’s a very close family and Dedric and KJ have been loving it in Lawrence.
That’s…a lot of 4s. Especially considering Mitch and KJ should still be around.

Don’t worry too much about JRE. He’s being smart and keeping his options open. I actually think Lawson ends up at Memphis with Penny Hardaway as HC there. Would be a heck of a coup. His HS team in Memphis is stacked. Both Lawsons, DJ Jeffries (their cousin), and #1 in 2019 James Wiseman is on that team. Don’t be shocked if he takes the Memphis job in the offseason.

MU is doing better now (tied for 3rd with 5 other teams but no hope for title) but it will start declining and after year 3 Cuonzo Martin will bolt right on schedule.

He is the type of PG that Cal loves and I imagine UK will make a hard push. I’m sure we will probe, but I doubt KU is a legit option for him.

KU watched him all summer during Adidas camps seems how Q and Dave were the targets…
I really like his game and was stunned when he committed to Georgia. Backing off the commitment so early is just as puzzling honestly.

@BeddieKU23 I don’t think it’s that surprising. He is better than UGA and maybe just wants to show that. I’d love to see him at KU but with Dotson in year two it’s a tough sell plus I hope Markese ends up here regardless of where his ranking ends up.

You made a good point with Dotson. I think KU was out after Ashton before Devon became theirs to lose. He’s probably going to stay in the south area so I’m not too worried. He’s by the far the best PG in the 19 class in my opinion from what I saw of him as a Jr

@BeddieKU23 No doubt. He would help Cal keep up his PG to the NBA pipeline. Cal “develops” top pgs that are surefire NBA starters so well!
Tyrese Maxey is probably the next best PG in the class.

I believe Green has been coming off the bench- still playing starters minutes but Alexander has been the primary PG during the recent stretch. QG is going to be a good 4 year guard for Calipari if he doesn’t become the next Ryan Harrow.
But I have a hard time believing he’s reclassifying to join Quickley and Green. Stranger things have happened of course.

@BeddieKU23 Green is getting the axe if Hagans goes to UK. No way he wants to be the third PG on the roster. I’m sure either way we will hear more soon. Hagans doesn’t even technically have a UK offer at this point.

I would take Hagans over Green if I was picking a side. I’m not a big Quade fan, wasn’t in HS and I’m not surprised he’s struggled a bit as a freshman. Syracuse could have really used him this season

@BeddieKU23 Cuse could use a lot of help. Green I believe modeled his game after AI, which is a poor choice but he is a Philly kid so that was his hoops role model growing up.

Hurt would be a fantastic addition. Not sure he does stay beyond one year but that would be awesome. He’d thrive at the 4 spot here.

KU I would assume won’t get involved because we are loaded in the post but Nick Mayo is going to be an in demand grad transfer. 6’8’’ 225 lbs forward that is a career 43% three point shooter on 183 attempts.
