Woodard

  • Woordard KILLED Oklahoma tonight - - key stretches he either turns it over, puts up terrible 3 pt attempts. Had a chance to win in regulation 87% free throw and misses now in OT - -WV press has been nothing - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • Put them ahead there. Might win it

  • @jayballer54 Woodard is the only reason OU won tonight. This is what happens when you are totally dependent on one player to do everything for your team. He will make turnovers, he will put some bad shots, and he will not be as efficient as people want because he is doing everything.

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 ummm not sure if you watched the game or not - - you seen a totally different game then I did. - -If it wasn’t for McNeese and MCclusky in the 1st half wouldn’t of matter what he did. - -Those TWO carried Oklahoma in the first Woodard did NOTHING except what I stated - -Doesn’t matter WV lost choked up 15 and Oklahoma came back and beat that asss - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @jayballer54

WVU looked like a tired team. Maybe all that running all over the court like chickens with their heads cut off is starting to wear them out.

  • @jayballer54

Granted Woodard made some big mistakes. He usually does. But he also makes some insane baskets and he has been the heart of OU basketball for a long time.

I have to admit that I’m a big fan of Woodard.

  • @JayHawkFanToo Did you say “chickens running all around the court” knowing that KU has to play in Bramlage soon? haha

  • @jayballer54

Woodard made up for it by making the game winner. OU is playing with a different air since he’s come back

  • @ralster

    Freudian slip?

  • The Hartman-Kruger strain of IBall has long fundamentally differed from the Sutton-Self version in willingness, even preference, to depend on 1 guy offensively.

Self would never have let Buddy Hield dominate, as Kruger did.

Lonnie would never have reigned Rush, or Wigs in as Self did.

Hartman just said the object of the game on offense was to score as much as you could, so have your best scorer score as much as possible, since it’s what he’s going to do in a pinch.

Self says save it for the pinch.

    Jordan manifests this difference.

    Both ways work.

  • @BeddieKU23 Hey heer is a shout out to ALL those people that was talking smack ( NOT ON HERE ) but holla at me now about how bad KU is and us just barely beating Oklahoma - -let me hear you now - -That Win is looking a little better now huh? - Beating Oklahoma on their floor - -maybe not as bad as win as what you thought huh - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @jayballer54

After watching OU beat Tech & now West Virginia they are playing much better. I think them losing to KU at home was a turning point for that team. It doesn’t hurt when you get your best player back and he helps you win games.

I never thought our win in Norman was bad and if OU continues to turn around their season our so-so win in Norman won’t look so bad. The way they are playing the return game in Allen could be another stellar game.

  • @BeddieKU23 senior pm too

  • @BeddieKU23 Yes. I am glad that we got the win in Norman when we did based on what I have seen from them since.

  • We all know that KU takes everybody’s best shot, particularly at AFH where every team wants to win; every other conference team has the KU game penciled in as THE game they want to win…Huggy even gets a big bonus if WVU beats KU, no other team, just KU. I bet you anything that Smart has been telling his team how they came to AFH and beat KU and ended the winning streak and how they can do it again. I am going to guess that Coach Self remembers Smart’s comments about beating KU when he joined the conference and I am sure the players will get the message loud and clear, likely not directly from Coach Self but indirectly from the other coaches.

OU is playing a lot better now that Woodward is back; I did watch the entire game and without him OU does not beat WVU KSU is a good team and got a big win last night against OSU. Considering the talent they have, they are fighting well above their weight class and doing well. There are no easy games in the Big 12…WVU found this out the hard way with a loss -at home- to the current 8th team in the conference.

I would love to see KU put a beat down on Texas at AFH.

  • @JayHawkFanToo

“I would love to see KU put a beat down on Texas at AFH.”

Absolutely! Can’t get enough revenge for our loss to Shaka in the tourney and when Texas came to town right after TRob’s loss and beat us.

We were lucky to go to Norman when we did.

  • @drgnslayr

Keep in mind that the legend of Shaka Smart is predicated on that one win over KU; the rest of his records is pretty much average…

  • @JayHawkFanToo

    Agreed… his “one shining moment.”

  • @BeddieKU23 The turning point for OU this year was getting Woodard back from injury.
