Today I had blood work done in Marble Falls and stopped at The Bluebonnet Cafe for breakfast. Then I went and took a look at this beauty! After seeing the full size Bronco (gas guzzler at 18 mpg) that I could hardly get in because it was so high off the ground and it was just too big for me, I softened up to the Bronco Sport Outer Banks model (27 mpg). They are a much quieter drive than the full sized one. I can almost hear the sound of waves crashing along the beach because I will go if I have a reliable vehicle.

I love clouds, well at least the interesting ones and this taken in northern Michigan looking south caught my eye the other day.

On the same trip we were treated to this sight. Mackinac Bridge tower.

Happy Friday. I've been a bit occupied!!

Congrats on the new vehicle!

The gentleman who lived across the street from me passed away earlier this year and his wife was here a couple of weeks ago getting the 3 story house ready to sell. The for sale sign went up last weekend. Being nosy, I looked it up online and it is for sale for $750,000. Couple of the pictures were actually great at showing what my cove looks like.

Warning @nuleafjhawk !
This descendant has affixed himself to our window screen

Reminds me of this monster on the girls' window 3 years ago, right after installing new windows!

Haha. These are great

So me and my zero gardening skills started growing lemon cucumbers in some pots a few weeks back (not from seed).
Other than the initial powdery mildew that attacked them pretty quickly, they seem to be growing and making some flowers.
I put a stake with each to help them grow up (ha), but that doesn't seem to be working!
Any advice on how to support the growth and cucumbers?

@rockchalkjayhawk We always planted our climbers around the edge of the garden with a wire fence, for it to climb on. Picked many a cucumber and cantelope that way. Prop up some wire mesh behind them?

Thx for the advice. That sounds good. I was thinking about some wire mesh, too.
Oddly the outdoor stores didn’t have any! I’ll have to head over to the hardware store. -
Ever have a flubbed shot turn out to be a surprise? This was our trip without Mike for the first time and I got a double shot of double the love without even trying!

@RockChalkinTexas-0 I like the Jayhawk medallion your daughter had around her neck.

When I got up earlier to bake a chocolate cake (just took out of the oven), saw the fox
saunter across the back deck, go behind the solarium, and jump up on top of the wood pile in the wood shed to get out from the much needed rain we are getting. What a life LOL.
