Cowboys vs Roys boys

  • @BeddieKU23 OSU completely controlled that game through from the opening tip. Up 14 at half and then both teams basically quit playig any defense. So, while it did finish at 8, OSU made sure to keep them at an arms length basically the entire game.

  • @Kcmatt7

Your right OSU did control the game from start to finish. When their leading scorer went out they were down to I think 5 or 6 players. Gilbert, their stud PG didn’t even play which made them even easier to beat. It was an ugly game with 84 FT’s attempted. I think the final score was indicative of OSU as a whole, they could have blown Uconn out given the circumstances.

Playing UNC and their experience is a whole different ball game tonight. OSU has 3 players, not a whole team. UNC is going to feast on this team on offense and wear them down with tempo and size. If OSU plays them tighter then expected then maybe its time to consider OSU more then a middle of the road Big-12 team because Underwood has them playing fast, scoring at will against a bunch of nobody’s and an underachieving Husky squad.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Looks like 9:30CST.

  • @BeddieKU23 Personally, I think Evans is the real deal and of all the big 12 teams I’ve watched so far, OSU has impressed me the most.

ISU doesn’t scare me to this point. I realize they are probably still the #2 team. But Morris just doesn’t do it for me. He’s good just seems like something is missing.

Baylor looks like Baylor. Never count out Drew to be able to throw 8 athletes at you and play that zone. I thought about being worried after the Oregon game, but now Oregon has shown a chink in it’s Armor.

Texas got punched in the mouth last night. Almost lost their first game to a school for the blind. They don’t have a PG. Really don’t have anyone with size on their team. Allen made a mistake staying home. Could have been rotating in for a top 5 squad instead. Would have probably even gotten close to his 27 mpg he is getting right now too.

OU lost to UNI and barely beat lower half of the ACC Clemson. We knew they’d be down.

WVU will be WVU. Competing for top 3 in the league. Tough in Morgantown. A bunch of tough dudes playing football on a basketball court.

TCU we will find out more in the next 8 days. Play UNLV Friday and Washington on the 30th.

TTU plays Auburn tonight. Good test to see where they are.

KSU patty caked their schedule super hard. Won’t know who they are until Conference play most likely. They could literally go into conference play undefeated. Toughest games are Boston College, SLU and WaShU.

OSU is putting up 100 ppg. Handled an injured UConn team. Evans is legit. Forte back gives them another scoring threat. They look like they could beat anyone though.

Long story short, we should win the league handily, as we all know. To me, OSU is the scariest team followed by ISU, Baylor and WVU. Texas is another year off at least. I personally think Shaka is going to be a very similar story to Charlie Strong…

  • @kjayhawks Nah, I dont think Okie st can beat UNC. Roy’s boys are too good, too talented. Neither team has played anyone worth mentioning so far so it should be a good game. UNC wins by single digits.

  • @Crimsonorblue22

9:30 PM CST and looks like it will be on ESPN.

  • @Kcmatt7

I think we need to hold off until a lot of these Big-12 teams actually play someone. OSU has a big test tonight and yes I agree Evans is really good, maybe the best PG in the league that has 4-5 really good one’s. Tonight’s game will go a long way in determining what OSU will do in the league.

ISU’s experience will keep them in a lot of games. Can Morris be the big shot maker that Niang was all those years?

I actually think Baylor is the #2 team right now. I know Oregon has struggled and they were without by far their best player but Baylor looked the part of a team with some serious length and ability. Oregon will become a better team as the season goes on and I still think they are a top 10 team. Forget talking about Drew for a moment. Lecomte & Acuil are major upgrades at the positions they play. They seem to have the most talent and length that could bother KU.

WVU hasn’t played anyone but, either has the rest of the league. We will certainly find out over the weeks if the Big-12 is really that down.

  • @BeddieKU23 I watched Baylor against Oregon and Florida Gulf Coast - looked like the same Baylor team from the last few years. This year, there are about six teams that will vie for a one seed. We HAVE to win at West Virginia and Iowa State to have a chance at a one, which would also put us in the Midwest region, with the regional in Kansas City. We need a one seed.

  • @HawkChamp

We can lose on the road and still get a #1 seed. It’s likely we drop those games just because of the “super bowl” atmosphere those teams put themselves in to beat KU. What’s more important is winning the league, winning the conference championship and hopefully getting a road win at Kentucky in January. We do all those things and it will be hard for this team to not end up on the #1 seed line playing in KC. Still to early to predict how things will go!

  • @HawkChamp

Interesting you think Baylor is the same. Acuil is a really good shot blocker and Lecomte has swagger and is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league, Maybe they fold like they usually have but it looked to me that their skill level this year is much better then in the past

  • Prediction: Baylor will in fact, be Baylor.

  • Imo their zone makes them better ooc but worse in conference because everyone knows how to attack it. Self teams in particular usually shred up that zone.

  • @BShark

Will be interesting to see how we attack their Zone. The 3 players that were good at breaking the zone (Mari, Ellis & Greene) are no longer on the team.

  • @BeddieKU23

I’m guessing Svi will be heavily involved.

  • Oklahoma St down 27. yeah they are definitely not good

  • @BeddieKU23 I didn’t expect them to win but wow they are getting smoked

  • @kjayhawks

Thats what happens when you play creampuff central and creampuff state and expect to roll a top 5 team with experience!

  • OSU down 32. hahahaha

  • Hammonds 6 points, fouled out, Forte 2 points, 4 fouls…no way OSU stays competitive with these 2 players with these numbers.

  • I see OSU is grooming the next Forte. Some kids name I can’t pronounce is already known as a better shooter then Forte. = we will hate him

  • @BeddieKU23 Haha we have to prepare for the future here on buckets.

  • @BeddieKU23 who was the one before forte?

  • @BeddieKU23 I hope we can handily beat OSU this year - have not done well down there the last few years and Im tired of losing to them. UNC played solid perimeter defense on them, something that it seems like we always fail to do against them

  • @Crimsonorblue22

Keiton Paige, the smurf on steroids.
