Joel/the process

1st double double last night in 25 minutes. He’s insane

I am rooting so hard for him to stay healthy.
Basketball needs that sort of talent in the game. It still saddens me that a guy like Greg Oden couldn’t stay healthy, and that guys like Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon are shells of themselves due to injury.
Yes, injuries are part of the game, but you want to see the most talented guys stay healthy so they can take the game forward with them.
-
One of the very few - less than a handful - of guys I’d pay to watch. I usually don’t like watching big men, but Embiid is different.
-
Just tuned in to watch the 76ers and JoJo try to beat Lebron and the Cavs.
Joel with an ESPN top 10 highlight play already.
Lebron takes the ball on a fast break, crosses half court with Biid trailing him close. Lebron tries to lay it in and Joel swats it off the glass, very reminiscent of Lebrons late block in game 7 of the finals this year.
76ers fan holds up sign, says, Lebron meet JoJo - 76ers
-
Love this

@Crimsonorblue22 Nasty!! You know, the 76ers are probly my favorite team to cheer for now. I feel like they are the Cubs of basketball…havent won a title in forever. Theyre like an underdog team to me. And, well they also have Joel Embiid. That helps a little bit too.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 another angle
LeBron…meet the new king. https://t.co/v5hiRiB5lV (https://twitter.com/NBA_Jayhawks/status/795049846784856065?s=09)

@Ralph Im gonna be watching a lot of Phillies games this year, thats for sure. They might not even get close to .500 but I dont even care.
-
@Ralph Lebron James now knows not to lay it in when JoJo is running the floor behind him.
Did anyone notice that the announcers are calling him JoJo!? Thats us. That came from KU.
-
I JUST SAW LEBRON HESITATE TO SHOOT AT THE RIM BECAUSE JOEL WAS IN THE PAINT!!
-
@Lulufulu love it
-
Thanks to those who have posted videos of this block. “The Process” is a real treat to follow. A very bright spot in this early NBA season.

You’re not going to see Joel in any Phillies games this year!
-
@wissoxfan83 LoL! Yeah I meant the 76ers from Philly
-
Joel had another big game last night. Made 4-4 threes. 22 points. Against the Cavs.
-
We need a KU alum NBA category on this site and some dedicated posters to follow our heroes in the NBA. My goodness, Joel is in a class all by himself. I’ve watched him play a couple of times. It’s amazing how effortlessly he plays the game. He is confident with the ball. Now, he needs the 76er guards to step up.

Embiid leads the team in points 18.5 rebounds 6.5 and Blocks 3.0 per game thru 5 games. While being limited to 24 minutes per game.

Limited now to 24 minutes a game, but he has averaged less than 22 thus far, so even more amazing.
Extrapolate to 36 minutes and you get 30 / 10 / 5 - equivalent to Anthony Davis - as a rookie coming off two years of injuries.
Can’t make this up.
-
@ParisHawk And his assists would be in the 3-4 range. Joel isnt just the process, hes a friggin Monster!
-
Against withey
-
Unbelievable. Not only does he flash beautiful moves, but he’s so consistent. So reliable. Philly knows what they’re getting out of him every night. He’s like Jordan in that sense. And also in the sense that he’s worth more than the price of admission. You know your gonna see something.
-
@chriz needs to watch to’s.
-
Something that can be fixed I hope.
