  If KU does Champions Classic, plus Big 12/SEC and Big 12/Big East, plus an early season tournament (Maui, NIT, etc.), and a non-con road test, the non conference schedule will be very strong every year. That’s not a bad slate.

  I was just at the UNC game last night! It’s really a beautiful area. Pretty sure if you squeeze a building on Duke’s campus a few $100 bills pop out. They’ve certainly spared no expense over there. Highly recommend the Duke/UNC trip for any basketball fan. Their arenas and schools couldn’t be more different. UNC is the country’s first public university so there’s a lot of pride in that, and a lot of venom toward Duke for being proudly elitist and snobby. Chapel Hill is a lot like Lawrence as well. Very cool college town. Durham is kind of meh, other than the food and beer. Just not my style but I know a lot of folks who really like it.

  @drgnslayr I had DirecTV now when they first rolled out the DVR part. Unless it has changed the storage is fairly limited and I think it only lasts a month. It’s a little different than TiVo. I think there’s is a way to bundle the DirecTV now with ATT internet service to up the data limit from 1 TB to unlimited. (I didn’t do this and went over the 1TB limit one month) I liked DirecTV Now, but only used it during a promotional 3 month period. It’s still more TV than I need. ESPN+ will make my life so much easier, as the only live TV I really care about is sports.

  @Lulufulu Not necessarily. If Silvio ends up not playing and Agbaji red shirts then you are looking at a more manageable and still very deep 10 players. At this point, the only player that would heavily impact if he were not to play is Dedric…and maybe Grimes, but all the rest can be replaced.

  @JayHawkFanToo Your solution makes no sense lol. By dropping an exhibition game they would have to also refund season ticket holders for that game, or piss them off very much. They would have to pay the other school they planned to play still. And then when it is all said and done it cost both schools $500k each to host a Charity game that raised $1.5M. It is not a logical solution. Especially when they could just a play a 3rd game and raise $1.5M with no added expenses to either team. And this doesn’t even consider the fact that your solution still has them breaking the NCAA guidelines of playing another D1. So you’re ok making an exception of one rule, but not this rule? Why?

  @Fightsongwriter They talked about Naismith in the first episode, replayed earlier last night. It included an excerpt from that radio interview with Gabriel Heatter where he talked about coming up with the original rules. You’re right about the East Coast bias, but not too surprising when you consider that the national media in the Fifties and Sixties were even more concentrated in the East than they are today. Also, those college basketball doubleheaders at Madison Square Garden back then were huge draws, as was the NIT, which for a while was considered a bigger tournament than the NCAA.

  Went back and watched, and Agbaji looks really good. And the more I see KJ, the more I’m thinking we have to get this guy as many minutes as possible. That steal where he jumped the passing lane, and took it home was spectacular. He has a really nice jump shot, and he shoots it quick, but with real good form. 9 minutes…11 points… 3 threes…4 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Put him on the floor with Dedric, Grimes, and Dotson, and you’ve got 4 semi- point guards on the floor ( check out the Dedric to Grimes to Dedric sequence at 2:26. OMG. GREAT TEAMWORK.) Great passers …great drivers …unselfish players looking for their teammates all the time. Teams are simply not going to be able to guard us man to man.

  @jayballer73 have some people gone after you for your grammar? sure. I’ve been on your side when I see that. This is different; this is about making it easier for people to read at a glance. It’s formatting that is specific to how the board works, and not obvious. Nobody thinks any less of you for not formatting your lists. JayhawkFanToo was just suggesting how to get the formatting right, and his suggestions were correct. To answer your questions, when you post those lists, yeah I can read it, but do I struggle? Would it be a lot easier if you put the extra line breaks? Absolutely. I don’t read them when I am in a rush because it takes a lot of looking back and forth to figure out where things line up. So respectfully, you’re tripping on this one, and nobody is talking down to you. Work with us man, we like your lists.

Releford was the 10th guy and played 10 minutes a game and 29 games. 2015-16 8.9 When Self has the quality depth to do iot he will play 9 guys.
